I was at the show and loving cup was not a train wreck but keef seemed tentative and unsure what to play at times. The crowd while going bananas for most of the show were quieter during loving cup. However even though keef has these tentative or "senior moments " occasionally, he was on fire for most of the show and it was one of the better of the 20 or so shows I have seen. From the tongue pit I observed a real joy amongst the band and an intensity that was greater than adelaide last week

Was there a support act in Perth as it seems there isn't going be an opening act in Melb indoors?

I'm still pondering bringing my camera along to Melbourne. I have a Panasonic FZ-35 for concerts.

I've been through the Frontier Touring FAQ, there is nothing specific there.

There is nothing specific on the face of the ticket (just 'may' on the generic terms and conditions on the back.

The Ticketek site for the gig also has a generic 'may'.

The Rod Laver site (MOPT.com.au) says nothing.

Based on earlier comments, I could make it fit in my pocket!

How big is too big. I typically can get a FZ-35 because it doesn't have a detachable lens.

Thoughts from those who went to Perth?

Like I say, if it fit in your pocket they are fine. If it has got a pro lense then it will not fit in your pocket. I.e. if you paid more than 1,000 dollar for it then it will probably be pro or semi-pro and it will NOT fit in your pocket, with the lense on ...

If you have a removable lense then it is a pro or semi-pro camera, and I would smuggle it in, no worries, just to avoid discussions. Don't point it in the face of the security people, and you will be fine. It is all about acting like a fan and not like a pro photographer. Nobody wants to have a guy in front with a 500 or 1000 mm lense shooting pictures blocking the view. Just use common sense. The security people are there for our security, not to pick on the use of private cameras.

I have had a camera at all shows over the past few years, no worries. In Tokyo there was a no cameras no mobile policy, but for all other places normal private cameras are ok. Still they don't like video cameras, even if they are small.
