I have just bought last SBurke CD "Make do with what you got". It has a great cover of "I got the blues"(jagger/Richards). You can hear good work of guitars and the excellent voice of the King of Soul.
It's a great album, not as good as "Don't give up on me" from 2002, but still very good! I'm going to see him live at the opera in vienna on july 1st, and I hope it will be a great concert!
" Yes, you are right. The riff of the first track reminds a bit Keith playing. "
And while they're at it, they should cover "Real Live Bleeding Fingers And Broken Guitar Strings" by Lucinda Williams. That was obviously created as a Stones tribute if not an outright pitch-piece.
One of the best of the year. Mr Burke does justice to all the covers but his finest moment is on the self penned After All These Years especially the soul of the line "They say dreamsss...Dont..always come trueeee..
