We were front row and people in the 2 rows behind sat during Rambler!
I almost yelled out to security.
During OOC they didn't know what was happening.
And they were first up for Miss You.

Couples on either side of us in Diamond VIP Row A had freebies.

Agreed Deathgod, as per one of my posts above, I was with my little girl in a Platinum section that had most of the yuppies there weighing the price of their ticket versus a payment on their Mercedes SUV. I had a great view, but should have gone all out on Premium Tickets, as that section seemed to have more actual fans and not Chardonnay sippers.

Anger seems a strange response to a long solo--also an unprofessional reaction on Mick's part, which I find hard to believe, but then I wasn't there. Hope to see some video of this!

That Brown Sugar snippet sounded pretty damn good! I liked what I heard from Karl Denson

My thoughts on the show in Adelaide last night:

Guitars right up in the mix sounded great
Mick's voice sounded a pitch too high - I've never seen him sound like that before which is not a criticism it just sounded different.
I loved it when the played OOC as most of the crowd didn't know it.
Keith's set was not the best although his playing on all other songs was excellent.
They need to drop Like a Rolling Stone which was played at the expense of so many other songs played at rehearsal: All down the Line, Rocks off etc etc.

All up it was a great spectacle the lighting brilliant and the sound was mostly very good. Mick was funny, sarcastic and playful with references to the 2 local aussie rules teams who have to share the stadium.

I'm with Deathgod after Bruce Springsteen's stadium gig this year in Melb compared to his excellent arena show last year I much prefer the arena gigs as there seems to be less pissed dickheads and bogans. We spoke to the AEG promoter last night at the hotel and he said it was a great venue but the sound guys prefer the arena shows as they can better control the environment. He was non committal when asked about Sth America due to Argentina's economic problems and he said that further USA shows mere speculation at the point in time.

I was disappointed the Stones didn't show their faces much around town - we always saw Bernard & Chuck in and around the hotel, surely it couldn't be too much to ask that the Stones acknowledge their fans that had been waiting outside the Intercontinental hotel (I was on the inside of the hotel paying for the privilege).
There were many young girls lining up to get into the private after show party at the hotel. Unfortunately I wasn't on the guest list.....!

I was Karl on BS he was fantastic energetic and excited to be there. I forgot to mention that Mick was very emotional singing Wild Horses and apart from some idiot near me yelling through the song it was very moving. STFD had a different feel and tempo which was closer to the original version.

It doesn't show on recordings but live there was just too much top on Mick's vox.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed this.

Stage was nice and low. Standing up people's heads only obscured the band's lower legs. Tim took the solo on Miss You, was not a copy of Bobby's, and I can't find a youtube video of Karl's Brown Sugar solo.
I was just wide of the screen on Ronnie's side but could see the whole stage just fine, though the chairs were only 300mm wide and cramped side to side.
