Ronnie looks hot in that pop dot jacket. Mick in seersucker suit - a much sweeter look than when those fat lawyers squeeze into them around here in DC and then waddle around with their straw hats on. type of thing. its a southern thing. one wants to order a mint julep when one sees someone with a seersucker suit on. doesn't one? they sho are cute. those dudes.

Those who haven't them yet in this tour, I tell you that Mick Jagger will rock the shit out of you! A total miracle, that man. And nothing wrong with the others either. Rolling Stones AD 2014 is a great band, and they offer a helluva show. Lucky you are, who get to see them! Enjoy, you lucky bastards!

Woke up in my own bed today. I am missing opening night , but the weekend I work pays for much of the upcoming Gigs. I can't believe that I did it, I spent nearly a week as a great big groupie. Things started pretty slow, and there were blips , especially those created by some people with the twist on reality that Mick was photographing them, intruding on their privacy! Oh well it was entertaining.

But not as entertaining as the music, once we non autograph seekers found the little niche where the music was good and we left the rest sitting under the trees. IN one afternoon I heard great versions of Sway, Loving Cup, Shine a Light, Silver train, it was like being at a rarities concert, the show we always talk about on this board that never appears. Standing next to BV in the hot sun wrapped in the music, surrounded by a handful of Friends I see whenever the Stones tour, I can't begin to explain how great it all was. No crowds to fight, and free, this was just unreal. Some of what I heard I will never hear at the official concerts, that alone made it all so special. Then Wednesday, late in the afternoon, they ran through all the regulars on the set list, boom boom one right after the other. A totally free concert .

The best way to describe it all:

Feel so hypnotized, can't describe the scene.
Feel so mesmerized all that inside me.
The sunshine bores the daylights out of me.
Chasing shadows moonlight mystery.
Headed for the overload,
Splattered on the dirty road,
Kick me like you've kicked before,
I can't even feel the pain no more


I don't know about everybody but I AM READY. Four days and I am back on the Road , headi ng to perth and beyond, ending in Auckland...Hope to CYA there!

They seem more youthful every time we see them. Charlie seriously doesn't age. Pretty astonishing.

I read somewhere that Keith was trolling the shops in Paris with Patti in some interview earlier, that is why I thought he got duds in paris

Wish I could've scored tix to Adelaide. Great, great venue and I'm sure the Croweaters will lap it up.
