Love the new live album; kind of a mix of Black Crowes and Allman Brothers but unique in their own right.

I don't like many bands these days.

These guys are excellent.

However, I am saying that based solely on one album. Little Piece Of Dixie. Excellent modern southern rock and even if its a tad generic, its got enough of a kick and feel of things I haven't hear that I love it.

For no reason other than laziness I have not checked out their other albums, but I heard their follow up, The Whippoorwill, was actually even better.

Almost seen them twice now and plans just fell through at the last minute. But of the very few new bands I follow these days, I really like these guys, and to my knowledge they haven't tried to change their sound for the public as they get bigger which many of the other bands I think of these days have.

The music is definitely a throwback to the days of Skynyrd and Allman brothers. Like it much better when the lead singer sings in his rock voice (like Chris Robinson of the Black Crowes) than when he is using his country voice, which is a bit too country for me. The production sounds analog and simple which is a big plus.

Overall MUCH better than most of the crap I've been hearing from new bands lately. Thanks for the turn on. peace

Agreed. Very good band, although I am not familiar with much of their stuff - will be changing that soon.

I saw Blackberry Smoke earlier this year in concert. IMO, they are more a country rock band as a southern rock band.

Going to see this fantastic band for the second time this year, as they are on an european tour, again. I really got hooked on their mix of southern rock with country influences.

I saw them on tv few nights ago on Palladia; they are good. It's like Status Quo and Lynyrd Skynyrd had a baby and they called it Blackberrysmoke. Let's boogie hard!!
Rock and roll,

Saw them live on Palladia TV.

Good band.

Lousy name. Is it too late to change it?
