Sorry - can someone tell me why the video is not showing when I post it - only the You Tube address shows. Never had this problem before.
Remove the "s" in "https", Mike, and the video will show.

I first heard both of the outtakes below in the '80s and have loved them ever since. They're cover tunes. I have no clue why it was decided that Keith should re-record the vocal for "We Had It All" for the SG Deluxe. He did a great job re-creating it, but the original was perfect all along.

That's not a new vocal. There's no way that's the 2011 Keith. Even nzentgraf doesn't mention it. That's just another track from when it was done! In fact, it sounds to me like it's probably an earlier vocal take since the one on STATIC IN THE ATTIC is better. Same timbre in the vocal.

I'd read a couple of years ago that the vocal for the 2011 SG release was more recent, which did surprise me because it sounded very like the original in tone, despite the fact that Keith is decades older. I thought that Keith may have carefully tried to replicate his tone from that era (he can sound very sweet & lovely even now, when he hasn't been straining his voice on tour). I also thought some studio tricks may have been employed to help achieve the effect. Also, Mick recorded new vocals for the Exile outtakes, and he sounded very "period appropriate" on those, so it was not a stretch, IMO, to think the same the same effect could be achieved w/ Keith. BTW, the backing track on both versions sounds exactly the same to me.

It's just version 2 from back then + probably some spliced in from an unknown "version 3" from back then, too. There were different versions floating about, but some of his vocal lines from the final take was unknown to me.

Should have made the album, imo.
