My wife threw the recent Rolling Stone collectors magazine on Dylan that goes over every studio album. Really enjoyed it and it got me to thinking about my favorites. I spend a lot of time driving so I listen to a lot of cds on the road. My list isn't that far off a critics I guess.

...his 60s-albums are overrated (musically). Best lyrics maybe in the 60s, but 70-00s have the better songs.

Cliched, but I can't listen to those enough. Love so many of his other albums, but in terms of entire albums where I don't skip a thing, its those.

The first release on vinyl in 2004 was a 3-LP set, too. Perhaps it could fit on a 2-LP set but maybe it was released with an extra record due to the audio quality.

Wow, this is awesome! Thank you so much for posting this! I'm looking forward now to learning more Dylan songs. I'm really into his music too. About a month ago, I ordered all of his albums from the 60s, and I've been loving them. I figure that's the best place to start.

60's is a good place to start. The man has re-created himself several times since and I love every Dylan.
