Night 2 set list:

Still no RRW songs.

he never played RRW songs on the Outlaw tour – not last year, not this time around.
I guess he realizes they won't work for the putlaw tour audiences.

You said that earlier and I misread it. My fault.

I sang and played Lonesome Day Blues with a new group of musicians last week at my usual joint. Funny, they had never heard it but they learned it quick and did a great job backing this old headcase with a Tele! smileys with beer

Bob a few nights ago, singing really clearly, Don't Think Twice at 102 mins is worth a listen if you don't have much time.

That was very nice to see. Sounding so clear as you say, and still out there giving it. We all know he's an easy target, but we all still have the chance to see Bob @#$%& Dylan. That doesn't give him a pass to do whatever he wants and sound like shit, but he sounded @#$%& great there. In voice and harmonica. Not sure what else anyone could ask for at this point from the guy. I think he's rebounded super well after several years a decade or so ago of really not being at his best. Since the Sinatra albums I think he had a turn for the better live. Studio wise, Tempest nearly 15 years ago was a monster comeback in my mind. What a lovely album.

a comeback? He has released new records every 3-5 years between 1997 and 2012:
1997 Time Out of Mind
2001 Love & Theft
2006 Modern Times
2009 Together Through Live
2012 Tempest

I'm aware, and I thought there was some good on those albums in between, but Tempest was the first album since Time Out Of Mind that really blew me away. I didn't actually know he still had THAT in him. First one since Time that I put on the album and didn't skip a single song.

Yes, these are great songs here.
Like with the Stones, I can't choose a favorite, and luckily, I don't have to.

Today's Dylan's 84th birthday and he is doing a show today. That's only the fourth time he does a show on that day (this other birthday shows were: Paris 1966, Dresden 2000, and St. John's/Newfoundland)

Sorry just seen your post, yeah Bob's slowly getting back to an acceptable level, I'd give anything to see him back on guitar but clearly he has ballance problems.
Still he's 84, touring all the time, strong vocals, never forgets the words, can't ask for more really.

Agree, Tempest 13 years ago, wow he was in his 70s when he wrote that one, just incredible.

Looking at Bob Dylan.com the concert was curtailed after 7 songs…No word on if they will reschedule the show which is probably unlikely…..Not great news for the fans of course…..Fingers crossed.Peace.M

Dylan's part of the show was cut short because of high wind alerts (video: [www.youtube.com] ) Thus no need to worry about Dylan

Hi NashvilleBlues, I was gonna email you this question but both of our emails are hidden lol).. since I believe you've been to this venue before what's it like to show up late in terms of getting into the venue and finding parking? It's supposed to be pretty hot that day so we're considering arriving as close to Dylan's set as possible and try and miss the daytime temps. Thx

Free parking. Since it starts early you should be able to avoid any cluster on the way in. Dylan has been starting around 8. If you leave a voicemail the day of, the venue will tell you the set times. You’ll have to walk a bit from the dirt field, not far. Hope this helps!
