Could we get back to the Basement tapes?

Your bullying sheep mentality is just so unimpressive to me.

Like Lucas Jackson once said, "yes boss".

Thinking that espousing common courtesy is bullying is an interesting point of view.

But I suggest we close this argument for the sake of other posters and merely be happy we are extremely unlikely to attend the same concerts. Deal?

Here is the link!

Not sure what to think about this one, kind of like the Christmas album?

I hope this doesn't get merged in the "Dylan 2014" thread, since that thread started out regarding his tour in 2014. Different year, different topic. also, that one seems to have degenerated into an argument!

Thanks!

Ross

If you want to find out what the album is going to be like, check out this: [www.bobdylan.com] (the track appeared on Bobdylan.com some half a years ago, then it was taken down after e few weeks, but it is still available at the German version of bobdylan.com =>[www.bobdylan.com]
Another song "Stay With Me" which is believed to be on that forthcoming album is now being performed at the last encore at Bob's shows

I have, and I'd say this: don't buy the 2cd set, get an overdraft, get credit, use a credit card, or sell a kidney (I exaggerate), but get the 6 cd set in its entirety. It's the best thing you'll hear all year.

My previous posting refers to the Bootleg Series Vol 11, Basement Tapes: it's that good.

Does Bob still have 3 large mirrors on the stage to bounce off camera flashes?

He didn't when I saw him in Michigan two summers ago. He had fire stands with flames...seemed strange for a summer show.

Did you see the photo? You'd think he'd have sat in the front row, wouldn't you?

Did Dylan interact with the audience?

If it were me, I would have taken a seat near the back.

Very cool. Can you imagine the Stones doing the same thing?

You'd think he'd have sat in the front row, wouldn't you?

Second row or even further back probably had a more balanced sound and was more level with the performers. peace

I know what you mean. Must have been a little unsettling for this guy to have Bob staring at him the whole time.

I was thinking more of the sound, which would be better toward the back, as mentioned in a post above.

Was Bob actually staring? I would've figured that he would have ignored the guy. I would've thought he would be the type to just perform and ignore the audience.

Very, very cool indeed. If the Stones do continue to tour in 2015, maybe the Swedish film maker can offer the Stones $10 million or so to see if they will do a private gig for one. If the Stones agree, I will volunteer to go...

It'd be interesting to know how much it was. Probably not as much as we think.
It's a great idea, though.

Even better if the Stones played and he took his break during Miss You.
Then have Jagger looking at Chuck Levell and saying "Who thought up this 4-song set list?"
"You did, Mick. Streets Of Love is next."

Bona fide narcissism. Of course this is all paid for by a gambling company. But you gotta serve somebody. Right, Bob?

Yes, you do. But I don't see this as narcisssim on Dylan's part, (is it Dylan who you mean?) If Lennon or Springsteen had done it, pundits would say it was a work of genius...on their part. To me, it seems an interesting idea.

You're right, tomk. Fredrik is the narcissist here, not Bob. It's a business deal though. Bob gets paid by the gambling company behind this and Fredrik gets some free PR for himself and his activities.

Publicity stunt is the word for this I guess. And apparently it worked well. Otherwise we wouldn't have talked about it here...

Excuse my confusion here, but is the audience member the filmmkaer/financer, or did they pluck a Dylan fan out of the air? If it's the former, then who really cares? Still, it's an intersting idea.

The article mentions that the audience member is a friend of the filmmaker.
