Remember folks, nothing is so bad as to take your own life. Talk to loved ones, they are there for you even if you think they don't care!

Shocking and so sad. It's so hard to believe that someone with all his talent and accomplishments would find himself is such a dark place. I really don't understand the world sometimes. May the angels carry him to a better place and give peace to his family in their grief.

Not a fan, per se, but I thought he was pretty good playing a killer in Insomnia with Al Pacino. There's a very revealing moment in that film when, explaining how he "accidentally" beat a girl to death, he says, "I just wanted her to stop laughing at me," or something like that. Must suck when people want/expect you to be funny all the time.

Oh no. Was just trading one liners of his with a mate the other day. And I just two nites ago intridufed my little girl to the world of him on 'Night at the museum'. He was her favourite after the doggy dinosaur.
Depression is such a literal killer. Bless you man.
This is horrible news.

My first recollection is the 8-track "Reality What a Concept". Funny stuff for a kid.

His hero, Jonathan Winters, also dealt with very dark times. Saw him during his Weapons of Self Destruction tour and hoped he was past the worst of it. Such a great loss - an icon of his age.

Sad, but he made his choice, final as it was. He was drowning in alimony and his brain probably never recovered from the artificial euphoria he bombarded it with. He was probably in constant pain, his career was in decline and he was probably awash in negative emotion. I feel for his family but totally understand his decision to end the pain.

Do we know for sure he was drowning in alimony? He did have a few movies coming up...I think he was doing ok financially. I don't know about a career in decline. Every time he did a stage show he drew very well.
