OT : Tour de France 2014
Posted by: ChefGuevara ()

Contador crashed and had to abandoned the tour today.
Very sad as it promised to be a great war between him and Nibali
on the mountains.

Froome abondoned earlier in the race. Nairo Quintana and
Wiggins did not raced the tour this year.

Cavendish also crashed and abandoned in the first stages.

Let's hope for close and safe race for the next 2 weeks,
but is not going to be the best cycling race in the world
without so many big names.

Very sad indeed! He was real trooper trying, though.

There are still many good riders left. Love TDF!

now the race is open.
Nibali is the favourite. But you also have Martin, Galopin...

Forget about this TdF. It's no fun at all, all the crashes and big injuries. Really terrible, even criminal. One is almost longing for the good old doping times!

Purito Rodriguez has done great in La Vuelta. Can he
pull a great tour and make things exciting in the mountains?

I have great admiration for the athletes in the TDF and what strikes me is that you only enumerates the negative aspects, at the WC were also many wounded, The TDF is for Men and not for Softies.

How is Keith doing this time around? How timely of the Stones to pause their tour so Keith can finish Tour de France this year also.

He did a great job for the team today, though, before he backed down. Incredible!

I have great admiration for the athletes in the TDF and what strikes me is that you only enumerates the negative aspects, at the WC were also many wounded, and thanks for your negatisme because of the Germans. The TDF is for Men and not for Softies. and if you are only interested into dopings scandals, I recommend you to visit one of the nearest coffeeshops in town!

Don't try to fool with me.

That Tony Martin is not human, in other words DOPED. Yesterday won after a solo stretching some 150 km and today 90 km as a motorcycle to pilote Kwiatkowski in front.
Such "performances" are just too much. I believe every rider is prepared by docters etc., but this man is overdoing it and he is bad promotion for cycling.

Apparently Contador has to go under surgery for a broken leg.
Also knee and elbow problems.

Nibali discribes the crash as it happened in front of him due to
bad road conditions and speeds of over 60km on the down hill.
Hope he recovers soon. Contador was going to make this an exciting tour.

no, the greatest cheater of all times, armstrong, is not here any more.
so there is less work for the organization of the tour.
it should be a little bit cleaner.
