Wasn't it Too Much Blood that was banned on MTV? I think it was banned for, you know, showing too much blood.

All three of the Undercover-videos were banned.

For some strange reason I like Love Is Strong the best. Even though it is a relatively new video, brilliant concept and they all do well in the acting stakes. A close 2nd would be Brown Sugar.

Even She Was Hot? I remember seeing that one as well as the title track on MTV at the time, and my one disappointment was not being able to see the Too Much Blood video because I heard it had been banned. Why would She Was Hot banned, because of middle-aged lechery?

i like start me up

yes, it's incredibly dated and goofy

but it conveys the personalities of each band member so well.
charlie rolling his eyes, bill bored, ronnie goofing off, keith miming his incredibly simple riffs with such intensity and seriousness, and mick being mick.

when it aired in '81 it was the first exposure i had to the stones on video, and it made me wonder "who ARE these guys" and want to learn more about the people behind the music.

Undercover Of The Night is really good. Harlem Shuffle, Jumpin' Jack, She Was Hot, Till The Next Goodbye and... Start Me Up - only because it's so bad and silly it's awesome.

Yeah, I'd say JJF for the older era, and Plundered My Soul for the latter-day ones. I hadn't watched it since the song came out a few years ago, but that vid is a brilliant wrap-up of the Exile look.
