Who announces tour dates a year in advance? Well, besides One Direction... ;-)

Yes, artists such as they who are touring on their fifteen minutes of fame. They are getting sales locked in now before the next flavor of the month comes along.

Bonnaroo seems to be becoming more mainstream with each passing year--

The Stones are NOT 'mainstream';

they're not 'underground'
nor 'indie'
nor 'avant' %£*%%£µ 'garde' -

they're 50% ROCK, 50% ROLL.

I picked up the London Evening Standard last week and a few nationwide tours advertised for summer 2015.

Sigh. Hard to imagine a more mainstream band these days (apparently this is by definition a bad thing?), but whatever.

Springsteen is already penciled in for European dates next year, so venues are definitely reserved around about now. Definitely worth keeping your ear to the ground!

Springsteen is supposedly booked in for Calling Festival in Hyde park BTW.

I agree about the 02, a most uncomfortable venue - crammed into a seat high up for £125 is not my idea of a good time concert, as I found on 26 August 2007, last night of the Bigger Band tour. With Hyde Park, last year, standing, you could move around and feel much freer and the acoustics were perfect. I'd prefer that venue to Wembley any day. There's something about a park with trees and full sky with the sun going down into a brilliant sunset along to a Stones soundtrack that is totally different to a football stadium.

Yes, the article also mentions shows in Chile, Argentina and Brazil.

RAH would be great, but with only 5000+ seats I guess the ticket prices would have to be 500£ or more?
Still, I guess it would be sold out immediately

Do it like the Last Night of the Proms - 6000 in the Hall and an enormous overspill crowd watching screens in the park across the road - the BBC organises that setup every year, so it's a practical possibility.

I'll settle for anywhere in London (but Twickenham is just down the road from me... )

Since when were Dartford, Hillingdon, Wembley and Penge suburbs (neighbourhoods) of New York ?

It would make sense for them to finish where it began, in their home, not merely a popular past venue.

With respect, nonsense. Charlie has never lived outside the UK. Ronnie lives in the UK and all living former members are from and live in the UK. All current and former members were born in the UK. They are a British band. Only Keith is a permanent resident of the US and he's from Dartford like Mick is.
