Rumor has it the boys will be doing some pre-rehearsals at Keith's house in Weston, CT starting in 2-3 weeks.

Pre-rehearsals? Well, until they rehearse they are ALWAYS in pre-rehearsals prior to rehearsing, which means hanging out, eating food, etc.

Pre-ventive and pre-servative - that is, don't change anything

I would hope reports of new songs, maybe, and a few older songs rehearsed that haven't been in the setlist for many years, if ever. Have the Stones ever performed new songs before officially released in the last few decades?

Bridges to Babylon came out before the tour started. Oh No Not You Again was performed at Juillard School long before the album came out and Don't Stop was played at Palais Royale before it was released on single or album too.

Okay hock. Maybe Aus will get something new? Who knows or who cares, I guess? The shows will be great anyway.

Potential problems. Argentina concerts

An article about the problems to confirm the concerts in Argentina due to the country situation and the difficulties to get USD at market prices for the promoters.

I thought going to Argentina was a loss leader for the Stones anyway. They have wonderful fans there but the economy is still struggling. I hope the Stones overlook the greed factor and play for their some of their most fervent fans.

I tried to translate this but it came up with about 10% of the text,is it saying that the Argentina or even whole South America tour is not going to happen?

Just says that the Stones consert(s) in Argentina is in doubt because of the lack of foreign exchange in the country. And, the problem for the promoters to pay Stones their fee of XX million USD, if there are restrictions in USD or other currencies. Don't think Stones will accept Argentian Peso as a payment. It is the same for all international entertainment in Argentina. Shouldn't be any problem for the rest of SA shows.

As the Foo Fighters are also making a stop in Buenos Aires on their SA tour next year, I'm still positive about a Stones show in Argentina.
I am just waiting for the concerts being announced. We already made plans with a bunch of friends for a SA trip, following the Stones.

It seems the Stones will not come to Buenos Aires according to our local news, all due to the irresponsible management of Argentinean' economics and the lack of foreign exchange. I'll be so sad if the Stones won't come, but that's just a part of our whole problem: idiotic populism (Europe stop with this populism nonsense after 1945, but here and thanks to Peron we are still trying with useless formulas. Keep this in mind every time you are going to see the musical "Evita"). But those jerks sure do know what the people want: the Stones, and Cristina Kirchner with all his stupid court will have to answer if there will be no Buenos Aires show.

Metallica and Linkin Park will play first Rock in Rio weekend which will be dedicated to rock music... Wonder if that means the Stones deal's been scraped... Or they will be announced at later date?

It will happen, don't worry. The Stones will charge the Brazilians and Mexicans even more than usual to offset the Argentina shakedown. And there's always Montevideo and Porto Alegre.

P.S. Maybe even Asuncion?

Kitchener can get free tickets, then it is ok. Those countries deal with money in a different way than normal, so everything will be ok. Have seen that from the neighbor country, Brazil, the last many years....
