3 million worldwide visits and no ads. How about that? Maybe Facebook or Google will offer you a tidy sum for the site.

Do you get many purchase or advertisement offers BV?

I have been offered a six digit number in US dollars for IORR, but I rejected it. Loads of ticket brokers and other merchandise companies do of course want to come closer to the fans. Just search for "Rolling Stones" on Google and you will see who they are.

What Bjornulf haven't revealed yet, is that those statistics only include people who've posted about boring setlists, high ticket prices or in some way directly or indirectly indicated dissapointment with the fact that the band isn't somehow stuck in a timepocket of early 70's.

The real number is much, much higher!

The IORR web statistics is a proof, how important this board is for Stones fans and also for The Rolling Stones themselves and their management.

Sweden 8th place? I thought I was the only Swede posting here! Maybe with exception for Come On and Holmström...

I enjoyed the coverage very much...you do an excellent job and I have enjoyed briefly talking to you in the states on a few occasions. I feel the European crowds today are much more enthusiastic than we are..having attended over 100 shows since 75, I have seen the US audiences change from young, enthusiastic, and truly into the music to mostly middle aged (myself being 51) folk who spend more time on their iphones than enjoying the show.

I'd say there's probably a saturation factor in the US, and to an extent, the UK with a lot of older bands. They've been readily accessible on tour for decades and decades. Whereas some lesser bands in the States resort to the state fair circuit(your Journeys, Styx, REO etc. etc.), a lot of big time groups that are past their commercial prime can still go to places throughout the rest of the world that are a little hungrier for big acts and get crowds that make them feel like they're still on top and relevant.

Just to clarify, it's not unique visitors, correct? It's visits. I visit this site multiple sites per day, for instance, and I don't post often. I visit from different IP addresses. I visit in the sky. I visit on the ground, I visit while eating cheese, etc.

BTW: Are there ANY countries that are not on the list? 216 is roughly all countries in the world. I wonder which place is Vatican at?

The Vatican is there around position 200 or something, approx 2 visits...

An interesting fact about the Vatican is that it has the highest crime rate per capita in the world.

Nate

That is simply abuse of statistics. Just search for "crime rate by country" or "crime rate vatican" and you will see why this is not really relevant. From one of these pages:

"There are reports which have named Vatican City as the city with the highest crime rate in the world. This report is rather bogus and we'll tell you why: the Vatican City does not have the highest number of crimes in the world but it has the highest crime rate. This is as a result of the comparison between the crimes committed and the tiny number of people living in the city. The city is small in area and has a small population too."

FOR THOSE WHO UNDERSTAND STATISTICS:

The Vatican crime rate is irrelevant, because it is made up by two non-relevant numbers:

- population (counting the few people who live there, not all the tourists)
- crime (conting tourists)

If you took RELEVANT numbers, like crime rate among TOURISTS at the Vatican, or for the people WHO LIVE THERE, it would be low, very low.

By the way, THIS IS VERY OFF TOPIC. But my life is statistics and maths when I am not in the road, so I could not resist killing a statistical lie.

There's a great book called 'How to Lie with Statistics.' Very entertaining and informative.
