is there someone who NEVER was deceived by THE ROLLING STONES ?

it's my case, and it's the reason why I'm a fan. I'll be very happy to know just one fan who really loves the R.S. A boy or a girl who respects "exile" or "goddess" at the same level. A boy or a girl who never 'll give lessons to MICK OR KEITH, a boy or a girl who thinks KEITH is a great singer and MICK a good guitarist, and RON a magical choice for the band.

Keith in an interview :

Q: "Do you think you have ever disappointed your fans ?"
A: "Not as much as they have disappointed me..."

Q: "But the disco songs ?"
A: "Well, we could have done a lot worse than Miss You - we could have been Queen !"

Yeah, well I'm a rockin' boy and there ain't a Stones song I've ever had to take off the stereo but I can't sit through War Baby.

Do I qualify as a member of your club?

even if it's not his best, I think there is about 7 really good songs on this record. War baby is a little special but touches me by moment. The song "primitive cool" touches and interests me very much. (nice words)
welcome to the club ah ah.

I've lived in abject fear of the day when I might meet Mick and Keith and they would be assh*les. I'm fully aware of their penchant for same.

Didn't Mick once say that they didn;t want to be a band people could count on?

I can only refer to ChrisM's post above!
I've never been decieved but a bit disappointed on some songs and occasions
by the Stones. But this "marriage" has been going on for longer than any of my other relationships and that proves to me that they have delivered!
41 years this year!

I haven't been deceived by them. I know the music business is more about business than music. However, the Stones have tried to make their end of it about music. It's the soundtrack of my life.

It's never disapointing. I was never deceived. There is no band like the Stones: I tried many: no one moves me like the stones do.

As much as we can all be guilty of bitching and moaning about some aspect of the tour, the set list, the price of tickets and all of the hassles to put together an itinerary for the tour, if we didn't love them so much, we wouldn't be here visiting this site, answering stupid questions because it all matters to us so damn much! I am as guilty as anyone but I wouldn't trade the joy this band has brought into my life FOR ANYTHING! I don't think I've been deceived by the Stones, not at all. And just for the record, I love " Goddess" but " Exile" best of all!

smile: Gwen, if that's for real from an interview, do you know when/where it was?
thanks.

Love the music till the end. What they, or somebody did to "Rocks Off" on "Live Licks" almost amounts to ass rape.
