What are those things between the port a potties and the red canopy?

The seatings are completely full.
FOS too.
The standings just are allowed to sell 2/3rd by EU law.
So relax: It´s a sell out.

hope that you are being ironical here ;-) based on the photos, the show is not a sell out, who cares anyway, hope the crowd there enjoyed it !
Look at the pic Cristiano posted on page 5.
Look at Christianos photo also on page 5 when the gig is on:
Bernabeau is packed

I suspect this one may not be from tonight either.

Vienna maybe? He wore that shirt there.

Rome - [www.facebook.com]

Stones Twitter has managed to post one or two photos from the shows as they happen, otherwise they're just random shots.

How could they have omitted Streets Of Love from the set list? That's like dropping Miss You, in Spain at least, where it was a number 1 single.

Hmmm... I know a person who could easily utilize your idea, NICOS. Michael Cohl...
i wonder what that guy is up to? i believe Cohl would probably settle for 25€ for behind-stage seats. but obviously, safety issues will prevent this from happening. the atmosphere (always best on the cheap seats) will get heated, people will try to catch an actual glimpse of the band, causing the whole stage setup to tip over, burying the stones under it. the subsequent whining would exceed all known proportions.

Zgubi, I am so happy for you! I have loved watching your tour videos, so glad you did make it to Madrid. I have followed the Stones around on tour a few times like you're doing now, in the end it's so worth the little hassles and inconveniences along the way, once the Stones hit the stage all that is forgotten. You rock! >grinning smiley<

Lose your dreams and you will lose your mind...

Another solid concert.

While not my fav, LARS was cool to hear.

So much to say, but I'm so tired.

Just a few impressions before I hit the sack... Been at the Show, almost front row on Keith's side. Seven Years ago, after their previous gig in Madrid, the Stones were ready for retirement but with 14 ON FIRE they are the good old Stones again.

Keith was a wreck on "Can't Be Seen" and SFTD, but he nailed all the other songs.

They sounded rock solid and LOUD, realy loud. But that's good.

Amazing "Midnight Rambler" with Mick T. He really delivered tonight.

Ronnie's been on fire all night. Probably his best guitar playing of all the shows I've attended through the years.

Killer versions of HTW, Gimme Shelter, Start Me Up, Brown Sugar, Satisfaction... And I mean KILLER...

Little jam at the end of YCAGWYW, which I think it was really impromptu. The band seemed to really enjoy the show and the audience feedback. And you could see it well because this time the stage was smaller and from the front rows you were really close to the musicians. Been at the front rows on previous tours and was never able to see even Charlie this close.

All in all, another magical summer night in Madrid with the Stones...

AND I have to say this, I was in Zaragoza (my birthplace) when they played LARS for the last time before tonight... I guess I've been lucky in some way...

I completely agree with your post, Milio. I was right on the rail, Keith's side. solid guitar work, great (loud and clear) acoustics. Did keith's Tele seem louder/brighter than usual? Great crowd. Only complaint was the wait to get in, and more than that the $hitshow at the merchandise tents. I saw them in Hyde Park last year, to me, this is an energized and improved band. I have loads of up close photos I can post if someone tells me where.

Just got back from a great show at the Bernebau Stadium.

The pics taken when it got darker really show how it was.
So much time to get in and move around and chat to people, even though we didn't bother getting in till probably gone 9pm.
Didn't take too long before we managed to get Andreea with us in the front area.

Before the Stones came on stage, plenty of time to chat to fans from all over the world who we knew and had met before.
Also a sister in law of Charlie with her two grandchildren who I'm sure I've seen pics off before. She had only spoken to Charlie about half hour before, and how much they were looking forward to this gig.
She loved a good chinwag about her family, football and music.
Lovely woman. >grinning smiley<

Also after first half of show, Matt Clifford was standing the left side and had a chat in between Keith's song's I think.
Came across as a really nice guy.

Nowto the music, and all I can say is that it was a great setlist that was just right for Madrid.

Not a sell out? It sure looks like one. They never sell the seats behind the stage, if that's what you are talking about. If anything, the area in front of the stage looks too crowded - they should not have sold so many tickets there. I may try to go a little earlier in Stockholm.

I got to the stadium about 5pm, which hit you straight in the face as soon as you climbed the stairs and out of the Metro station.

Huge!!!

About half hour later just passing the 4-500 fans mainly sitting down, drinking, eating and singing to pass the time before gates opened.
The familiar black vans and limos with dark windows passed with you know who in them, and straight away it was Whoo. Whoo.......................Whoo. Whoo, for about 5 minutes.

You knew it was gonna be a good one then............... 4 hours before the show started. >grinning smiley<

Reading some reports and seeing the pics, I can imagine that. It was sure an excellent concert, and it's always nice to know that our IORR friends had a real good time, like you, zgubi and all the Iorrians who attended today's concert surely did. winking smiley
