Not to be mean or anything, but it took me roughly 15 seconds to find that info out. It's all on the wikipedia page man:

...setlist surprises like Moonlight Mile and Some Girls live became a sing along. What took them so long to play SG live? It is almost autobiographical.
i thought it was consent that the legal kerfuffle with Jerry
drove Mick to finally sing it live as a statement. at least
i'm sure that's what he derived his anger from ;-)

I saw both Hartford shows. Not sure which of the two was better, as both had plenty of highlights. They played I Got The Blues the 2nd night, a pleasant surprise!

My first time seeing the Stones was during this tour at the United Center in Chicago. As you can imagine, that opening made me nearly piss myself with excitement. Watching it again just now, I nearly pissed myself again. Such a freakin' awesome intro to an awesome show. Especially since it was my first Stones show!!!!!!

Charlotte! Keith was on fire! Especially during some girls. Not to slag ronnie (I love rw btw) but he was very low in the mix that night. It seemed like Keith knew it and decided to carry the show and set his guitar on fire. I wish I could get a great recording of this show!

I have this show. My email is in my account info. I'll gladly send a copy along.

this show was a great one indeed! excellent setlist. the venue is now torn down.

I remember thinking it was a late burst of greatness from the Stones..

setlist:
Jumping Jack Flash
Bitch
You Got Me Rocking
Respectable
Honky Tonk Women
Memory Motel
Saint of Me
Some Girls
Paint It Black
-- Introductions --
You Got The Silver (Keith)
Before They Make Me Run (Keith)
Out Of Control
Route 66 (B-stage)
Just My Imagination (B-stage)
Midnight Rambler (B-stage)
Tumbling Dice
It's Only Rock'n Roll
Start Me Up
Brown Sugar
Sympathy for the Devil (encore)

i am glad to be of service! were you there too? because
as you can imagine with a 10year old, my actual memory
is a little blurry. but i do remember that on the B-stage,
Mick held up some kind of banner which looked a bit like
a scarf or even a persian floor rug. what was that, exactly?

That was my favorite tour!

I went to 5:

April 12, Chicago
March 28, Hartford
March 22, Boston
March 15, Philly
March 7, D.C.

D.C. was the worst - a frigid Sunday night with a really lame Beltway crowd - by far the oldest crowd at a Stones show I've ever seen. The band was fine but the crowd was dead. I did meet B.V. and probably a few current posters at the pre-show party at a bar, though, which was cool.

Philly was the best. Super young crowd going nuts and the band was on FIRE. Especially Keith.

Hartford was cool because it was so small. Boston was great - "Rambler" on the b-stage was one for the ages.

Chicago was on my birthday and I had the flu. I self-medicated. Best "Paint It Black" I've ever heard. And "I Got The Blues" was sublime.

"Out Of Control" was the show-stopper every night, though.

Still the best tour of the modern era, as far as I'm concerned!

I went both nights to DC. I think the 7th was the first of two. Very flat show. The 8th was easily the single best Stones show I have ever seen, going back to '81. I couldn't believe how different the energy and performance could be on back-to-back nights in the same venue.

Wild.

Yup - the 7th was definitely the first one. Glad things rebounded for you the next night, though!

I only saw 2 NS shows. DC #2 and Charlotte, NC. DC #2 was outstanding the Stones were on fire! After DC #2, Charlotte was a major let down for me. IMHO the magical Stones vibe and the energy of 3/8/99 were just not there. I remember being pissed that I picked going to Charlotte over Philly especially when the Stones busted out GOMC in Philly, which I really wanted to hear live.

I thought You Got Me Rocking on NO SECURITY was pretty good actually. Has energy, not so dumpy slow like it was on the VOODOO tour.

It's hilarious that they used the NS tour setlist for the 1999 BTB tour setlist.

The 1999 "BTB"-tour was just an extra because of the tax-thing. It would have been weirder had they gone back to the 97 setlist?

i thought it happened because Keef fell from a ladder
in his library, broke ribs so they had to reschedule
some gigs? on the bootleg i posted above, Keef says
before YGTS: "i get to sit down!" and someone in the
audience replies: "du bist auch von der leiter gefallen!"
(you fell from your ladder)

The fall from the ladder delayed the start of the European tour in 98. Tax issues for the English shows led to them being pushed back to 99. That's my recollection.

I wouldn't think so. It was the BTB tour. However the NS set list was way more diversified but featured less BTB songs, although they did change it just a few shows into the 1999 BTB tour with the last 6 songs being strictly war horses, ending with Satisfaction, hilariously, seeing that the BTB 1997 and 98 tours opened with it.

Hell, both setlists are pretty damn good.

Yep, you're right. They did the tax-gigs in England, as well as a few gigs in other european countries that they had to postpone becuase of keith's fall, in 1999.
