Sad news, James Alan Shelton has passed away.
He was Ralph Stanley's guitar player for over twenty years now;
surely one of the most tasteful pickers I ever heard!!

Sorry to hear. Not super knowledgeable about Ralph Stanley or the genre, but I love Little Maggie and crank it up when if shuffles through my i Pod. Great lyrics and Banjo.
