So I was at Pinkpop yesterday, the runway to my left and the right site of the stage directly before me - and it was just unbelievabel great. The band sounded great, the setlist was really good, and Rocks Off really was a surprise - and they played it just perfect! Mick was (like the complete band) in a fantastic mood, the fans, of course, too, and everybody had a blast - man, the Rolling Stones are still ruling! Amazing to see them live again on stage, to celebrate the greatest rock´n´roll band of all times with fans and to see that they are still great - it was an magical atmosphere, and I think everybody who was at this show will remember it for a long time. Just great.

Came back in the very early morning. It was a great concert! Do a very short review right now. Maybe an extensive one later.

A solid show. Sound was very good. Mick Jagger gave a great spirited performance. Keith played very good! They played Out Of Control. Great harmonica and guitar interplay with Keith. Apart from one notable bum note in Rocks Off, Keith played great. Jagger had so much energy unbelievable. It was tropical hot at the show, but Jagger seemed to get more and more alive despite the heat. Can't Be Seen was a joy to watch and hear. Jumping Jack Flash was a great performance and suberb sound. Angie was beautiful. First time to see Mick Taylor with the band for me, which was a special feeling. Shaky start by Mick Taylor on Midnight Rambler.
I was in the right FOS at the back leaning on the fence. I'm so glad i was there. A great show and great memories. More later on!

Bedankt!

Funny enough, the Aeroplane is approaching Rio de Janeiro at the moment

Great stuff! I didn't dare look/listen to "Can't Be Seen", but I loved "Rocks Off", "Gimme Shelter" and "You got The Silver".
Did someone record "Midnight Rambler" as well?

Can't Be Seen was great matxil!

You Got The Silver was another highlight. Keith was on top with his vocals yesterday. Very powerful and spot on.

So... back home.
Had a great day yesterday at Pinkpop.
The Rolling Stones played well and the sound was very good.

One question, what happened with Charlie during Sympathy?
Something happened, he stopped playing for a while.
The drumsample was also running, so not many people noticed Charlie's problems I think.

Maybe a drumstick broke or fell on the ground or something??

How about Mick's jackets?

Loved the gold one, I think I got an pic. I was to the left of the catwalk, against the rail.

The wifi on this train blows, I'll post some pics later.

Picked up 2 shirts, the blue tulip and orange football. Someone asked and yeah there is stuff on the back of the orange shirt.

Couldn't find the Holland tongue and I got there as soon as they opened the gates.

I think he had a problem hearing the percussion track on his headphones I think Erwin. But he overcame that and it wasn't disturbing really. It all came together very good.

Not only in his headphones. The backing track disappeared 2 times during Sympathy. At one time Mick was singing a capella.

Here's "their" Dick Taylor :

WHO are the two women, daughter, spouse?

grzegorz67 can confirm (he recognized her on Twitter yesterday based on her tattoos!) but I'm pretty sure the blonde girl is Charlie's granddaughter.

It most certainly is gotdablouse! Notice the ever-present cigarette too. She obviously fancies herself as a Stonette, even though Grampy gave them up over 20 years ago.

Arrived at 1 at the festival site. Lots of tongue shirts. Looked forward to this show because it was 7 years since I saw them and this would be my 10th Stones concert.

Weather was really hot but a very relaxed atmosphere. Made sure I drank a lot of beer (and water) because I wanted a good spot for the show and would not be able to get drinks then. 70.000 on a field is a lot, but never it felt to croudy. Compliments to all the dutch.

Before the show I was worried about Keith. From what I saw on youtube he was good on a good night, but very bad on bad nights. Today it proved to be different...

I was worried because there is a strict curfew of 23.00 and the Stones did not hit the stage at 21.15, but luckily there seemed to be other rules for the Stones.

I really liked the new intro. It was very exciting and I was prepared for Start me Up. Not my choice because I think JJF is THE best opener. So when Keith came down and hit the riffs of JJF the show started on a high for me. The first riffs are just such a highlight for me.

Crowd went absolutely crazy and the sound was great. Keith was higher in the mix then I have ever heard him before. And my worries about Keith.. wel... Keith was fantastic. He looked so cool with his sunglasses and he was focussed, happy en just the good old Keith. His playing was better than I could dream of.. Absolutely great!

Jagger seemed possesed. UNBELIEVABLE performance by him. He talked a lot in Dutch and even whore the Dutch Soccer Jersey. I think Jagger must have run more than 10k at the show. Just unbelievable.

Charlie was just Charlie and for Ronnie it was really hard to stand out because of the top performances of Jagger and Keith.

Nothing negative to say?

Well I do think Jagger has to much problems with his in ear sound. It's just to often he sings a fraction a second to early. Second thing is that they could shorten the outros on TD, YGAGWW, BS, SMU et cetera by 1 minute. It's just to long and it gives them time to play 2 more songs.

But all in all the best of the 10 shows I have ever seen. Great sound, great crowd and unbelievable Glimmer Twins.

JJF: Fantastic
YGMR: Great. Keith was fantastic. I do like this song.
IORR: Great playing and crowd participation
TD: Bit loose (not in a good way)
Angie: Fantastic. Crowds favourite
Doom and Gloom: Don't like the song but it was okay
Rocks off: Surely this wasn't the voters choice. But anyway great performance. Best RO I have heard in years
OOC: Great song.
HTW: After the 3 less known songs this one was welcome.
YGTS: Amazing. Keith was just great.
Can't Been Seen: Can't be bothered with this one.
Midnight Rambler: Clocked 14 minutes. Taylor and Jagger were awesome.
Miss You: Ok
SFTD: Wow... ! Got it's balls back!
GS: Sounds fresh and guitar driven. Keith again great.
SMU: Ok
Brown Sugar: Great!
YCAGWW: Show highlight. Choir is just a dream
Satisfaction: Crowd went crazy.
