Yes, I did a double-take when I saw the photo of him wearing that!
Terrific photos, Promoman - thanks for posting.

Historic Pinkpop show. The Stones were in top form. They enjoyed making music together. Could see that on their faces. Lots of smiles. Jaggers making jokes.
Great start with JJF. Again a fantastic Mick Taylor during Midnight Ramber with some great rock 'n roll guitar by Ron Wood at the end! Beautiful YCAGWYW. Cristal clear sound from my where I was(60 meters from the stage, bit to the right). And lots of young fans!

What a version of Rocks Off... Really amazing!

That was a bit better. Ronnie was tearing up the Chuck Berry licks at the end.

it's Keith of course, look/hear better

could not agree less

but this shows my theory about conservative setlist is wrong: mick could pick many more seldom performed songs without lose the groove e the swerve of the show

Yep Keith, a bit buried though. Something slightly off in the intro, like in the US last year the three times they played it. Guitar also sounded a bit out of tune in the "mesmerized" part, still a cracking version!

So, are there people who call "awful" this version of "Rocks Off"? I say it's amazing. I wonder whether we have different sense of hearing or just completely different taste...

To me, the particular version is more raw, energetic and powerful than any other done by the Stones in the 21th century (atleast). So, the only "emperor" i see being naked here is an "emperor" on this board, the emperor "eternal nagging"...

"Awful" this version... Come on folks, gimme a break..

Fantastic shot (the rest are standard issue stage shots, i.e. no biggie). Post more like the first one.

How about this shot may friend took?

Dick Taylor...
From a major Dutch news site: Dick Taylor is a founding member of the Rolling Stones. He was the bass player, and was succeeded by Bil Wyman.

Loved that Rocks Off! Much better version than what they were doing about 10 years ago when Mick was staying away from the higher registers. A real treat for those who were there!

Great stuff! I didn't dare look/listen to "Can't Be Seen", but I loved "Rocks Off", "Gimme Shelter" and "You got The Silver".
Did someone record "Midnight Rambler" as well?
