Memo to Rock in Rio: silly to have concert end at 2 am when Metro not operating. The concert lasted less time than the trip back to the city.

As bad walk as Werchter '07? Remember your review back then. Not the way to end a great evevning.

Oslo

At least I burned calories after Werchter (and I'm skipping W. this year). A very sad way to end the evening, agreed, but the Portuguese seemed to take the massive bus queues, police stupidity, and traffic jams in stride. Same old song and dance.

WOW - what a performance! what a sound, and what a guitar work! seems as if both KR and RW had a good day! Paris better be as good as I had to choose between the 2 weekend gigs of this tour that were available at reasonable prices and went for Paris as the connection flight for Lisbon were awfully expensive and time consuming. Thanks for the uploaders!

I'm wondering if there was any chance of someone tapping into a live feed like they did with the Glastonbury gig.

I wouldn't be surprised if the gig was recorded for possible broadcast of a few tunes.

Thanks everyone so much for the amazing videos.Great to see the full stage view of the start of the show & the film of the plane flying over.
Brilliant.
Being of a certain vintage it's especially precious now to get multiple contributions from fans. Much better usually than the "professional"efforts we had to settle for in the early days. We now get a true record of a brilliant special band who look wonderful & perform magnificently. The best.
Thanks again.

By the way, they obviously did not use their regular stage (the one we've seen in Oslo) for this gig, right? The screens on the side are much smaller than they were in Oslo, so this is some sort of generic festival stage I guess.

Perfect day. Dinner on show day at 9pm half an hour from the venue (but I could hear them so I had control). Fresh Dorata (or is it Dorado?) and two small 0,2 l beers at Euro 8,30 total. I though he was joking with me but that was the total.

Walked over to the venue, listening to the blues i.e. Gary Clark Jr when he was on 15-30 minutes after I arrived. Then found myself a spot in the back by 11:30pm, easy sight of evereything. Wathing all the weired stuff going on at "Rock In Rio Lisbon". Not that weired but interesting still. May be 100,000 people here tonight.

They were on stage shortly before midnight, and played with an amazing set, sound performance, and crowd was just great, and it lasted until 2pm sharp. A split second after the 2:00am final bow I started speedwalking and I was down from the hill in 15 minutes and at my hotel 35 minutes after the final bow. Slept like a baby by 3am. Up for breakfast 8am. Did a business call and work from my hotel room 9am to 12 noon, then 10 minutes (yes!) taxi to the airport at 6 euro (plus a heavy tip) and here I am 15 minutes later inside by the gates. Speed matters. Makes me happy.

I just love Portugal. The Stones took me here several times. May be 4 or 5, I lost count. Coimbra, Lisbon, Porto, Lisbon again and so on... I got to my usual Alfama favorite, super service and cakes and bacalao you must travel here to get. I walked 3-4 hours every day from my not so central location but it was VERY central both for the show and the airport.

Next is Zürich, but Portugal... I will be back as soon as I can. Norway is warmer right now weather wise, but I just love Portugal!

I will try to write a report on my flight to Zürich...

Having gone to the great Oslo show, and seen the setlists for both shows, they both must have been terrific gigs.

I would have loved to have been at Lisbon too, although the getting back to hotel in middle of night must have been a pain for a lot of fans.

Walked back to my digs in Oslo in 20 minutes.

Every time I think the boys are over the hill & should consider maybe hanging it up they pull off a winner like this show. Still a really great rock & roll band. Those slashing chords that Keith plays on JJF get me every time.

Sorry for Tumbling Dice.

IMO, typically as performance falling completely flat if Jagger and Bruce are not here to make (remarkably) the show. From the intro, behind, there is nothing. No guitar. I Try to perceive what "product" Keith ... Quite nothing. Riff ? None.

Juste my opinion, and yes, I know, I wasn't there...

Not that I was complaining at the time, but Bruce was a quite a bit more together this time than in Newark. Wondering if that's what he was saying to Mick during their parting hug/high-five.

Oh God I would've loved to be there!

I'm glad I wasn't, certainly don't need to see or hear Springclean f**k up a perfectly good Stones song again !! Once in Newark was bad enough, twice would have been truly unbearable ...........

Why be a sour puss? It was great!
