Have you seen what they've recently done with the Berlin standing tickets ? For weeks and weeks they've had like about 250 or so of them for sale, with the lowest price at around €300. Then, literally overnight, they withdrew the majority of them from the listing, and now all that is showing is 5 (yes just FIVE) - starting at €950 !!

Martha,
I'm still going. from the UK too. Friends of mine are in Pelouse Or and paid over the odds for their tickets on viagogo. There WILL be tickets on the day. There always is. I got into the O2 Show 1 on 25/11/2012 for £100 (face vale £326). I may plump for Pelouse Or. I'm just printing off a Seating & Floorplan and Colour Photocopies of a ticket...

I am so tempted. I did think of Pelouse Or (if Pelouse VIP doesn't work out) - but I've left things so late, I'm debating if it's worth paying for a flight and hotel. I was thinking of splashing out and treating myself so that I could get a front of stage experience (got GA for Rome because their pits tickets also sold out too quickly!). Although I would like to do more than one show...I'm looking at Stockholm as an alternative. Flights are cheaper but the timing isn't as good for me.
I'm sure you're right. The will tickets on the day. I also got tickets for the first 02 on the day. Got really good side view seats (close to stage) for less than face value. And I'm so glad I went!
One thing about all of this is that I've decided to finally buy a smartphone...if I do head to Paris ticketless, I think it would help having email/internet access (and for checking out IORR!). I've resisted so far and stuck with my standard phone...
Maybe I'll see you in Paris!

Glad you got your Paris ticket!
The Berlin situation doesn't fill me with confidence for Paris! After seeing your post, I checked out seatwave and their Pelouse VIP have gone up (from last time I looked). Oh dear!
I'm beginning to think I'll pass on this show and just stay with Rome only. It's just that I did want at least one good place this tour (couldn't get a pit for Rome so plain old GA there). Haven't booked a flight to Paris yet (Eurostar so expensive now, it'd be cheaper to fly first class!) but still tempted to go and try outside the venue.
What happened re. the Berlin tickets? They never existed in the first place? Or returned to the official seller and maybe will be available at face value?

I went to see the Stones in Paris 2007 without a ticket.
got one infront of the Stade de France for 50 €uro. Pelouse.
a father was selling it because his son couldn't make it ... or stlt.
I didn't have hotel room too, so no sleep and off on the earliest flight home.
go for it.

Only way to bring prices down is to reduce demand. Since the Stones are great, and not going downhill fast, they could bring prices down by finally becoming a Las Vegas act. And playing every other night for as many months as demand exists.

This isn't the same situation, though. 2007 never sold out and had entire sections of unsold seats.

Hmm, like many others I wish there was an end to this practice. But unfortunately resourceful/greedy people will always find a way. That was cool of Prince to expose the fact tickets were already on sale though they didn't exist. Good one!

PRINCE .... ten out of ten to him for making a stand and drawing attention to this curse of the modern day; the 'secondary market' !!

For U2 in Cologne, Ga tickets were e-tickets (you had to present your phone at the entrance and show a qr-code. Despite some technical issues (it was a first for the venue and for us) it worked fine. I didn't see any touts with GA tickets, no GA tickets on Ebay etc...
The only reasons not all tickets were e-tickets is that it was a first for the venue and they have to get used to it and wouldn't want to risk a big mess if it didn't work.
For Kraftwerk on Saturday, all tickets are personalized (print-at-home). If you can't attend, there is a controlled secondary market (run by the ticket agency) where you can sell at face value only. Both solutions are fine by me.
