Yes around and Around at the Mocambo is one of the best rock solos.

Here's another of his. This can only be one and that is Keith. Only he sounds like this:

Another good one, showcasing Keith's killer Black Custom Tele tone from 75-76.

Are you kidding me? That was awful. Ronnie's kicked butt. Keith sounded like a kid learning how to play. Same two licks over and over.

From 6:49 Keith is doing some of his best playing ever. It's not much, but it is simply brilliant thumbs up

It was then that I definitely lost my faith in RS solos. Simply awful.

How about Star Star? I can't tell who is lead guitar, but who cares.

This was a great thread.

What this site should be about, instead of endless comparisons of the Stones and the Beatles, boring me with where Bruce Springsteen is playing, or sad videos of Chuck Berry!!!!!!!!!

BECAUSE IT SOUNDS AWFUL IN THIS SONG COMPARED TO THE 1969 AND 1970 VERSIONS.
IT DOESN'T SUIT THIS DARK SONG, TITLED: SYMPATHY FOR THE DEVIL, FOR GOD'S SAKE.

The guitar work on LA Friday and Leeds '82 overall is incredibly great, both by Keith and Ronnie. Those recordings are two unmatched highlights of the Stones history so far (except when other recordings see the light from the archives).

You mean the official LA Friday, right? That one is great for sure. Ronnie is amazing on GS.

Leeds is very good, but there are other 81 shows where they play just as good, imo.

Yes, I do.

Yes it does. Ron even has a sound similar to the original, not Taylor's velvet sound.

I'm not fond of the studio version anyway, I would love to have the initial slow, organ version instead of the rather monotonous piano version. Keith's Ya Ya's solo is very good, but when Taylor takes over it's as if black and white changes into extremely colourful colours: the caterpillar turns into a butterfly so to speak (well I know already what Dandy will reply smiling smiley)

God, all these years and I never realized that was what he said! I thought it was "All righty come on now." So, what does he say just before the harmonica solo?

Totally agree about the great solo, anyway.
