Hear they're having terrible time getting stage acts/props to work smoothly, like Ja-Lo's rising stage not raising to the top during performance. Perhaps a Rio Olympic test run?>grinning smiley<

Just watched van Persie's header from 15 different camera positions with ths cool NOS-app [play.google.com]. Love the moment where he flies through the air, lands stretched out with his chin smacking the grass, and then sees the ball hit the net.

Decline of Spain going hand in hand with the demise of Barca's rule. It's time for a new generation of Spanish players. Congrats to the Orange. They look awesome.

That to me,is one of the most beautifull goals in last decades,a real goal,,not filming goal what spanish footballers do,i donĀ“t like Neymar either so far, what a clown.

Yes marko, almost is the same league as this one. Daley Blind's deep ball is even better:

Neymar looks like a spoiled brat. Give me Messi any day.

Ten pages of football talks the day after The Rolling Stones did one of their best performances in Paris this summer... I will return to the real world on Friday July 4. Will there be football then still? Do I have to keep some space in my calendar for the England vs xxx world championship final some time in July? Or can somone plese tell me who will win the whole thing, so that I can stay in Stonesland with no worries about football?

Well, sometimes you have to go elsewhere than your favourite place, so you keep knowing and realising where it is the best place to be ....confused smiley

Costa Rica-Uruguay 3-1, a real surprise. Coming up in the Brazilian jungle: England-Italy. 1-1?

1-1 it is at the half. Back-to-back goals for Italy and England.

Rooney could have had that

Looks like Italy will make it. On the other hand Rooney could single-handily change everything. The heat is taking its toll now...

Well Sterling and Sturridge played well. Rooney had a few chances but missed them.

Pirlo - what a player! I don't get the English game plan. Sterling isn't a playmaker, Rooney is. Sterling is a top forward player, quick and elusive, and should play higher up.

Surprisingly little interest in football here. Much less so than in geriatric, revival rock music...

England-Uruguay in next round will be a decider. Both teams must win to stand a reasonable chance to qualify to the next stage.

Good game by Italy.

First half we suffered more, in particular on Chiellini's side.

Second half I expected England's usual assault, that never arrived. Must have been boiling hot. I have the feeling that England suffered more (3 players with cramps)

Darmian impressed me.

Pirlo didn't move much.

It's going to be Balotelli's cup
