I wonder if the 'farewell' tag will drum up more ticket sales? Seems they've been heavily discounting them on recent tours.
The only thing that might have generated any real interest at this point would have been if they really had fired Zak, and then brought back Kenney Jones to do the final tour. That would have at least reunited three-fourths of the 1979 lineup. Only Entwistle would have been missing.

Saw The Who in 89 a few months before Stones. Both did 2 shows at BC Place in Van. Saw them last in 2019, last concert I saw before Covid closed everything down. Liam Gallagher opened, decent. I'll try and get tickets for Vancouver again. I'm sure this will actually be their last time here.

I love The Who, but they seemed to have toured so much recently, to ever-diminishing returns.
Also, what's with that crappy logo/poster? Looks like they let Rog loose on MS Word ><
The farewell tag ain't bringing anybody back to life.

I just looked at Shoreline tickets. Holy cow. The seats I would buy are $800. If people are willing to pay that much good for them but I will go spend my funds on other artists.

I know you hate their current incarnation, GLS, but that's not a valid comparison.
The man who wrote those genius songs is still there, and playing fantastic guitar (albeit inconsistently), and the guy who sung most of them is still in incredible voice (as I saw in March in London).
Of course, they are very far from the monster juggernaut live act that paraded from 65-82, but there are certainly still flashes of brilliance.
I think if they did more intimate shows, more acoustic vibe, it would work better,
But it is really not a Mike-Love-in-a-Hawaiian-shirt-sing-the-songs-written-by-his-cousin-(who he hates)-type of show.

Hopefully they STFU after this.
What a waste of time.
The English Beach Boys.

$250 - $475 cad for rear floor seats in Vancouver. Hard pass. I'll wait for the fire sale.

I love The Who.
The current incarnation has done a great job. I just wish someone would STFU.
However...
They've been coasting on their laurels, hence the Beach Boys comment.
Not a comparison. The Who have always played their instruments. And they have nothing new to offer.
They're not The Rolling Stones.

Saw them in Seattle ‘19, also with Liam. Eddie Vedder came out for Punk and the Godfather, was a magic night.

I hate people like you. Because I always pay top dollar and don't get the best places.
