Morello's work is awful : the chords should be played the way the Young Bros play it, low on the neck.
The high-on-the-neck plink-plonk sucks the life out of the song (imo).

Unfortunately, 22,000 in attendance may disagree. I wouldn't think any AC/DC band member would have any problem with this version or tribute.

Ballbreaker is great, and I love Stiff upper lip.

A ) "the majority is always wrong" Mort Sahl
B ) you know what happens at any rock shows and specially at any Brooce gig : you have this collective trance which makes the audience swallow everything that's played to them.

"Wow Brooce just played "I Got You Babe" then “More Than A Feeling” and he rocked, dude! And Morello's solos kicked @ss, man!" grinning smiley

That's why I never trust rock shows reviews, I wait for live tapes to make my own judgement... winking smiley

The rendition and kind spirited was enjoyable and very respectful. Maybe your guitar lessons belong to another topic.

It's a shame that the Boss has somehow infiltrated this AC/DC thread...

Bah it's okay : some time ago I got skinned alive for saying modern Brooce shows are slow and lethargic. Don't let facts (and tons of live tapes) get in the way of a nice collective delusion. winking smiley

Stevie Young is in Vancouver with AC/DC and his uncle Angus.

His last music project "Blue Murda" continue, with his son... Angus Young grinning smiley

See on the Blue Murda facebook page the very good cover of "You Gotta move" winking smiley

One of the greatest attributes of AC/DC is their perfected art of the double entendre, when it comes to cover versions there is plenty to be lost, not only in the propulsive rhythm but in the delivery.
Bruce’s version works/worked for his audience.
#1 favorite band The Rolling Stones
#2 favorite band AC/DC

The first picture sort of looks like the Gastown Area, where Bryan Adams has a studio. I would guess they may be recording there.

Hello everyone, i just wanted to thank everyone for their kind words about Cars That Rock. Your encouragement means a lot to me. This was my first ever go at presenting a TV series and even though it may not show, i was real nervous and so am very relieved that you all seem to be enjoying it. We hope to bring you more shows in the near future but, of course, there is the slight distraction of my day job with AC/DC – and it looks very likely that we will be on the road again before the end of the year. So stand by for more music – and more Cars That Rock. thanks – Brian

Is that the studio that The Cult, Aerosmith - I think, Bon Jovi, Motley Crue etc recorded at in the 1980s with Bob Rock and whoever else?

Ah. My bad. The Cult etc recorded at Little Mountain Sound Recording Studio, which is now called The Factory apparently.
