I'm sure there will be a second US leg added after this since there's more Canadian shows than US right now! Will get tix to the BC Place show on September 22, then seeing The Who a week later across the street at Rogers Arena!

If the tour is as succesful as in Europe, you'd better write "will try to get"
Good luck anyway :-)

Great news about Canadian shows, just had a call from a friend and she tells me that they are playing Downs Park in Toronto, she lives backing onto the park so I have ben invited over from England. We can sit in the Garden and listen, even the sound check in the morning. Think I'd rather be in the park but its a good second best.

Got a kick out of this, AC/DC's first show with a captured setlist.

Got my tickets for BC Place show. It is pretty much sold out now as is Edmonton. Haven't checked how other cities are doing but I"m sure they're close to being sold out, except maybe Toronto since they're playing the location where the SARS concert was held.
I wonder why they would choose Wrigley Field in Chicago over Soldier Field. I would think the sight lines would be better in a football stadium over a baseball stadium? Perhaps the Bears have a home game scheduled around the same time?

Looks like there are plenty of seats left for the Dodger stadium show. I think the LA crowd would rather pay more and go to arena shows.

Hi Bluzdude, also the fact that they're playing 2 shows at Coachella soon which I believe isn't that far from LA.

Detroit's Ford Field sold out in less than an hour.

But, the ticketing system was wildly overloaded and many, many, many orders "timed out" but remain locked in the sold position. In other words, ticket buyers thought they had "lost" their tickets and went back into the system to buy more. It happened to me three separate times!

There will be lots of these tickets thrown back in the system probably starting on Sunday or Monday.

But the demand here was HUGE!!!!
Detroit Rocks.

It might be a factor, but since you have to buy a whole weekend, with that lineup, I think only the youngest of AC/DC fans (with a few exceptions) will attend. I may be totally wrong, but after attending the US Festival way back in 1982, no way could I do a 3 day commitment to a festival. (well maybe I might make an exception some day for Jazzfest or SXSW). Anyway, I have my Section A seats on the field for Dodger Stadium (No GA's) and what looks like decent seats for Glasgow, so I'm ready!

Just seen this new video from a small place in L.A. soon after the Grammys.

Not too long to go to the start of Europe Tour.

Looking forward to seeing them in Europe in the Summer.

Those verses have exactly the same melody as Anything Goes from Black Ice.
Not that AC/DC is known for creativity ofcourse...

I'm not a big fan of the last album, besides the first two songs, understandably the first two singles.

But I'll see them again in London & Dessel (Belgium), and looking forward to it.

Hi Bowiestone, I thought the exact same thing when I bought the Rock or Bust CD when it came out! Anything Goes was one of my favorites off Black Ice.

I pity the poor bands who'll play at the same time as AC/DC on a different stage : they won't even be able to hear what's coming out their in-ear monitors! >grinning smiley<

I found it amusing that when Donald Fagen of Steely Dan got booked at this festival he had no idea who AC/DC were...never heard their music. wtf?

What??

Fagen is a notorious curmudgeon...maybe he was trying to be dismissive of them.

I don't have any shows on my calendar. Malcolm was always the guy I loved. Without him, I am having a hard time getting enthusiastic about the tour. I'll wait and see how initial reactions are.

He probably doesn't listen to anyone save himself. But here's his quote:

“[A tour was] booked after we were invited to play at the Coachella festival as a token old-guy band along with AC/DC, whoever they are,” he writes. “I stopped following most mainstream radio rock soon after we put out our first Steely Dan record in ’72. Really, I’ve heard the name for years, but not sure what they sound like.

No doubt their styles are as different as night and day, and maybe he's being truthful but what a disrespectful stupid comment. Expect some "Who the @#$%& is Steely Dan" signs at the festival....

peace

Watch out for torrents if you're not up on how they work. They can give access to others to your pc if you're not familiar with how to set them up. I got a virus from them once.
