Skidder Leighton obviously hasn't got a clue what Malcolm meant.

I know Power Up isn’t very new, but it is still worthy of a spin. Fun summer album. Crank it up and enjoy!

Listened to it today at your suggestion. Its actually better than I remember so I appreciate you bringing it back to my attention. Its no Back In Black, as almost every album after that has been, but it has some solid moments. It at least sounds like classic AC/DC. Honestly, bravo to Angus (and Brian, who sounds great singing here. Not sure if its studio trickey cause I'd love if he still sounded this good live) for culling a collection of songs that is IMO better than the previous album before Malcolm passed. Tough move to rely on older songs but he did well.

Its too bad they never really had a truly excellent late era album. I feel like The Razor's Edge was the high mark, and that was really just on the strength of Thunderstruck and Money Talks. Every other album had its moments but largely were forgettable. I actually thought Black Ice was their best in awhile, it was just too damn long. But this last one several years ago was better than I probably gave it credit for. Great that it was also basically the "band" too, even though most of them didn't tour it.

Powerage is easily their best album ever. Often overlooked by all the other monstrously successful albums that surround it, but Powerage is the bluesy, gritty kinda swampy rock at the core of AC/DC. Their playing is unsurpassed on this album.

For me personally, I've always thought that Back In Black was a little overrated, mainly because it contains 2 of my least favorite AC/DC songs on it - the title track and Hells Bells. Some absolute classic tunes on there, but those two ruin it for me.

In terms of latter day efforts, Rock or Bust is my favorite since Stiff Upper Lip, which is probably their best since Fly On The Wall. Rock or Bust is just a tad on the short side though. Power Up lacks the normal AC/DC sound IMHO. I played it once and have rarely listened to it all the way thru since. Not sure what it is with these fantastic bands from my youth making absolutely sh!t latter-day albums. Black Ice was beyond bloated. LOVE Rock and Roll Train. The rest? Notsomuch. I guess since The Razor's Edge, which was a damn good album, with its highly polished production, they are great on every other album, so if they were to release another one, I'd expect it to be good! Just my 2 cents.

Apparently there is a video that has gone viral that does not sit well for some fans.
[nypost.com]

It's no different than chemtrailers/flat earthers only on X saying ABC, the fake fog sickness, chemtrails and radar creating storms... a group of weather manipulation losers on only one social media platform for losers.

Reality functions regardless of those losers on X.

GSL, you have clearly done absolutely NO research into chemtrails and weather manipulation. Part of my reason for not being on here anymore (aside from the less friendly environs) is my deep research into all things corrupt in the world. Both of these things are real, and proven. Doesn't take much effort to find it out for yourself. I'd highly urge you to do so.

Hells Bells, well weather manipulation has been the dream of civilisations even before they offered their loved ones' lives on the alters of their deities, in the hope of rain. Recently, I read that there are less clouds in the sky than a couple of decades ago, leading to increased heating! Apparently, pollution particles increase the level of clouds due to water droplets collect on them. The recent decrease in fossil fuel burning seems to have the opposite effect on global warming than anticipated. Let's pollute some more and block out the sun! There are so many theories working against each other that it would be hard to establish the real causes.

But Hells Bells has some of the awesomest riffing on Back in Black, is it the lyrics that turn you off ?

Certainly modern life has had some affect on nature. It's impossible to think otherwise. But also we must consider that nature changes through history, sometimes for the worse. Anyhow, finger pointing won't change it. I just hope not to die in some over heated summer temperatures. Think I'm not alone.

Cool DandelionPowderman, can't wait to hear your thoughts. I thought they were excellent in Madrid. Enjoy!

Great show in Oslo last night. 55.000 people on a horse race course.

The energy was unbelievable. Highlights: Shot Down In Flames, Dog Eat Dog, Sin City, High Voltage.

Both Brian and Angus were great. However, Angus had trouble playing the intros on Thunderstruck and For Those About To Rock, to the extent that it was painful to listen to. Tempo-wise for the former. Getting the double string riff right for the latter.

Kudos to Brian. He's giving everything he's got. It might be less than before, but he's a real trooper - and he was better and more up in the mix than on the YouTube-clips I watched prior to the show.

Angus's 15 minute guitar solo on Let There Be Rock was unnecessary, imo. It wasn't particularly good, and they could have squeezed in a couple of other songs instead.

The sound was excellent throughout the show. The crowd was great - packed - and everybody had a good time.

To quote Brian: «We're gonna do exactly the same as the last time: play some rock'n'roll and have some fun.

I'm glad I went to the show thumbs up

I "have clearly done absolutely NO research into chemtrails and weather manipulation"?

Voodoo, you are beyond gullible. Some of the most idiotic people - it's no different than "believing" the bible.

Oh wait. Only when it makes sense to you.

Typical right wingers.

"Real and proven" because you watched some YouTube videos posted by loons? HA HA. If part of your reason "for not being on here anymore" is because you are digging into the details of conspiracy theories - oh, "deep research", from bunk sites and moronic videos - you have a lot to learn that's not fiction.

Young people, as you've been clear about, are easily persuaded because of a huge lack of life experience. You find things that fit your narrative because you don't understand it so Reed Timmer's yelling and inventing doomsdays is way easier to believe and an extremely large amount of idiots saying chemtrails exist enough times that, CLEARLY it must be true.

You also choose to not understand how heat and water react to extremely cold air.

You think BLACK ICE is beyond bloated but think weather manipulation is real.

Keep doing your "deep research" about bunk fiction spread to rile people up.

Watching various live videos from 2025 has been interesting in regard to the ridiculous crap going around recently.

Found FTATR from Düsseldorf - ehhhhhhhh, a little rough for the entire intro!

They've played carbon copies for how long? Angus' struggles are nothing like someone we know of very well. At least you know it's live. And what I heard from Oslo of Thunderstruck... it's not bad, it's just not great. So what, that intro is ridiculously long and unnecessary. It's probably easy to surmise that Angus regretted writing that song before the album was released.

I loved the 15 minute solos section of Let There Be Rock in Nashville. It was fun and gave the rest of the band a break. After each little solo, I was waiting to see if he’d put his hand behind his ear again and do another solo. Are they the greatest solos? No, but it was fun and memorable to me. Awesome rock show! They didn’t disappoint.

Fantastic show on Saturday in Paris, the band was simply exceptional, Brian and Angus phenomenal. By far the most moving for me too, seeing what a special city Paris is for them. Audience on fire.
Huge band. Respect.

The band and the audience were amazing. But when entered the stadium I could believe it. The golden circle standing area had the same size like the normal standing area.

Incredible energy, playing for 2 hours 15 minutes without faltering, mind-blowing.
Amazing audience yes,
And with a lot of young fans, the AC/DC audience has always been renewed.

Last minute release of tickets for Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh tomorrow is happening now on Ticketmaster UK website. Tons available in £103.70 plus fee.
“Restricted view”, i.e. production seats, but it couldn’t be that bad if you don’t pick a position too side on or low level behind a PA/lighting tower.

Sloppiest Thunderstruck intro so far? Maybe they should just drop it from the setlist and play something else. Angus is still good on most other songs.

Well, this casual fan did enjoy the show last night no matter what! 2 hrs and 15 mins of boogie inferno (or heaven).
The only UK show and tour closer, sort of homecoming gig — on stage at the Usher Hall, an Aussie rocker once gave a shout out, “Scotland gave us AC/DC!”
Now that’s what you call the vibe.
