OMG Driving Too Fast is auto pilot? I think it’s one of the best of the last 20 years!!!

The best of last 20 years?! Maybe you're right! The other songs are Doom and Gloom, One More Shot and Living in a ghost town...3 usless solo songs!

One More Shot also happened to make my Stones Favorites playlist....... confused smiley

I think you're the only one!

Well, to me it's far better than Doom & Gloom, which seems to get tons of props round here. I've never understood it. To me, it's Jagger by the numbers.

New video posted by the band a couple days ago for Through The Mists of Time, good song and a good video. Has pics of Bon and Malcolm in it going back through the years, kind of reminds me of a farewell video.

Hopefully they can do one last tour next year.

Indeed. They seem to be paying homage to their entire career - I saw references to Who Made Who, Hail Caesar, For Those, Hells Bells, DDDDC, High Voltage, If You Want Blood, Live, I think River Plate, Blow Up Your Video, Live Wire, am sure I missed some.

Reminds me of the Don't Stop video where the Stones did something similar.

“Charlie's good tonight, isn't he?”

Just a quick pic of the band with Mark Evans when he played bass. Don't think I saw any pics of drummers Simon Wright or Chris Slade though. Also, clips from Donington 91.

I thought it was Donnington at one point there.

Through the mists of time has a real Cheap Trick vibe to my ears.

When I was in high school I saw a triple bill (both nights) of Ted Nugent, Cheap Trick & AC/DC. This was before Highway to Hell. AC/DC actually got booed at first because the spuds thought they were punk rock. They were so great though that the band won them over. Sadly, that was the only opportunity I ever had to see Bon. I originally had tickets for the first night. The show was so great that I bought tickets for night 2 at the door. Cheap Trick were outstanding, too. Ted was uhhhh Ted but in the late 70s things were different haha.

Well the year's not over yet! I'm sure we'll see some sort of farewell tour from them hopefully in the fall!

No, just local shows in Vancouver area: Black Crowes, Rod, Killers, Elton. A friend in Vancouver is flying to Europe to see them though, I believe Paris.

It seems AC/DC should tour again. The last tour, whatever, but do one more run. Less shows. They don't need to do what they've done in the past. They're essentially as big as Led Zeppelin at this point.

If they tour one more time, they'll be at a good age to say Alright, we're done, and actually mean it.

There's no word on another new album nor a tour. So maybe POWER UP is it. Time to shut it down?

Try as I might I just can’t get into Power Up. Idk. Somethings not there for me. If that’s it for me they went out on a whimper. I thought Rock or Bust was a much stronger albeit incredibly short album. I’ve been a fan since Jr High and would probably put them as my #2 all time.

Really!

I thought ROCK OR BUST was quite weak and POWER UP is more in line with STIFF UPPER LIP and BLACK ICE - the kind of music they did with BACK IN BLACK and FOR THOSE ABOUT TO ROCK and partially FLICK THE SWITCH: pretty damn good shit.

Yeah idk man. I try. I really do. I listened to it for 7 straight hours hoping it’d grow on me during a road trip and it still doesn’t fill me up. Stiff Upper Lip might be their last great album IMO. Black Ice was a bit too long for me. Some great songs on there but a lot of average ones too I thought.

BLACK ICE is a bit long. They could've tossed at least 2 songs. But it's still a solid album.

Never could get into ROB.
