I might be in the minority here but I really liked ROCK OR BUST. Short, sweet and to the point. I saw them for the first time in New Jersey back in 2015 and is by far the loudest concert I've ever been to. LOVED IT!! Can't wait for the new album!!!!!!!!! smileys with beer
I thought it was quite good. I had low expectations with Malcolm being absent, but was pleasantly surprised. As you said: short and sweet and rocking.

I think Black Ice had some better moments overall than Rock Or Bust, but was larded up with too much filler. An AC/DC album should never have 15 songs.

I didn't mind Black Ice and Rock or Bust. Liked them better than Ballbreaker or Stiff Upper Lip.

STIFF UPPER LIP is outstanding, as is BLACK ICE - those to LPs are more akin to BIB/FTATR quality AC/DC than anything else they've done (Brian Johnson era, of course). ROCK OR BUST is a bit more like FLY ON THE WALL - it just sounds like AC/DC without any really good songs on it.
Stiff Upper Lip is a really cool album.

I never said I disliked Black Ice...I love it. The good songs are GREAT. I just think there are 3-4 midtempo songs that don't really go anywhere and bloat the album too much. A tight 10-song set would have been far preferable.

Come on, Rock or Bust, Play Ball, Rock the Blues Away, Dogs of War, Hard Times and Emission Control are good songs.

About the song "Money Made":

"Angus Young declared that his inspiration for the song was the obsession with money in the United States – "The focus seems to be, 'How do we get money out of this? Do we keep that school? Is there a profit in it?
Do we really need that new hospital? Can you not die quicker? Do we really have to spend money on that medicine? How old are you now?' Sometimes you think, 'Can we all take one deep breath?'
The basics have got to be in place. Thirty years ago, a @#$%&' school never made money. Filling in a road or putting up a traffic light didn't make money. Hospitals were there to keep people well, not make money"

thumbs up

Wow, is that an authentic quote? I'm kinda skeptical.

That's usually a lot more words than Angus is accustomed to speaking on a specific song, and to be even a little political is very unlike AC/DC.

Very interesting! I'll have to read the whole interview.

I never expected to read a sentiment like that from Angus.

I think Keith's the same : his heart is on his Left... but his wallet is on his Right.

I'm sure it's like that for a lot of wealthy people.

There might be some leeway between being a cold-hearted capitalist and a blood red socialist, right?

The statement from Angus could very well have been made by a conservative (with a heart) smiling smiley

Yes, that's very true. Angus has also lived in the Netherlands for decades, so that may color his perspective since it's a largely a democratic socialist country.

But regardless of left or right, I've never seen Angus speak about issues like that before. It was definitely interesting to read.

I think it was Brian that said new album in the Fall and the tour would start in Australia in the Fall. Funny thing is, I was expecting an AC/DC summer tour this year but got the surprise of the Stones staying in the US and doing another US leg. AC/DC will have to wait until next year.
