Help Playing I Gotta See (Woody)

Hello all,
I simply love this song but I'll be damned if I can figure it out. I'm assuming it's nothing crazy but I'm stumped.

Can someone help me with the chord progressions?

Many thanks

Hi what it's worth I play Bb (on the 6th position) hammering on to the f note on the 3rd string then up to the F (8th pos) chord then back to Eb (6 pos)... seems to work. There was a good version on youtube of him playing it where you could see it clearly but I cant find it any more confused smiley

One truly beautiful piece of music!

I can't remember the chord progression by heart, tomorrow night with a guitar in hand I could be more helpful.

The tricky part is the opening arpeggio. As you can see from the video it requires some thumb work and "beast of burden/negrita" tricks and licks.

Thanks Liddas. I tried messing with it last night and ended up playing a mash up of I Got The Blues/Seasons of Wither/Hindu Times.

Please let me know. I agree about the intro. that is the key!

Ok, here it goes!

It starts with an B arpeggio at the 7th fret. Thumb slides Bb to B plus an E thrown in to embellish. Then it goes to an F# (9th fret) followed by E / Eb / C# / B / Bb / G#m / run. Sequence closed by a classic B / F# - @ 2nd ft -/ B / E / Eb / C# / B

All this is played twice.

The pre-solo section is C# / E / B , C# / E / B - Bb - Gm# / C# / F#

Solo section is the same starting bit.

Finale is B / G#m / F# / B / E / Eb / C# / B

Don't ask me to write down a more sophisticated transcription: I'm typing this with my pad
