anyone who was around for the licks tour knows that the one of the big highlights of that tour was the 3 Night stay in NYC... 9/26 At the Garden, 9/28 at The Old Giants Stadium, and 9/30 at the Roseland Ballroom.


Last Night for the closing of the roseland ballroom...Dave Letterman and (his favorite guest) Bill Murry led the entire audience out of the ed sullivan theatre and into the roseland ballroom for the final performance there(Lady GaGa) ....pretty cool

Some of the memories of that roseland show are She Smiled Sweetly, A passionate version of Sweet virgina that had the entire audience singing along, a version of Neighbors in which Tim Reis came in early but it made for a killer, killer solo. and an awesome version of Rambler with a Killer Hard lead solo starting it.

I have great memories of the Roseland, but none of them involve the Stones, unfortunately.

She Smiled Sweetly was still inside my mind and singing on and on as they did an energy filled version of That's How Strong My Love Is. My report from back then is still valid. I do remember it like it was yesterday.

What are you talking about? I saw probably 100 shows there over the years. Terrible sight lines? (Well maybe if you were against the side wall)I think you were in the wrong place.
