the gates open at 5 pm. The pit in front of stage is full with first come, first serve.
Stones start at 10 pm. Are you willing to stay 5h in the middle of a crowd, when not reaching the pit.

I guess, this should answer your question.

The pit in front of the stage is cleared out between concerts, so there will be a separate queue for the Stones concert. There's usually good signage telling people where to go/stand/sit for that queue.

Hope you manage to get a good position at Roskilde, DP,RobberBride,JumpingKentFlash and anyone I met in those 5 days I spent on my first trip to Scandanavia and Oslo.

Yes, the pit area is cleared out and cleaned of debris between concerts.

The queues to the pits for the Stones concert will be marked and separated slightly from the actual pit entrances, until the end of the Outkast concert, in order to allow people into the pits during that concert.

Remember there are two entrances, one for either side of the pits, and there will be a separate queue for each side. You cannot move between the sides once you're in.

I'm in the western queue right now. There's like 30 or 40 people in front of me. Now it's just waiting. I'll be in Ronnie's side, so that's good.
