The Arlanda Express train service is quicker (only 20 minutes) and a good deal if there is 3 or 4 of you travelling together. 3 people for SEK380 and 4 people for SEK480 each way for example.

I'm coming over from UK for this one! My 1st ever visit to Sweden too. How far away is Skansta Airport and what's the cheapest/easiest way to get into Stockholm Centre ?

I hope Stockholm is cheaper than Oslo

Excellent info. Thanks very much Volke. I'll do exactly that. I didn't realise it was 100km away from Stockholm! At least I'll get to travel by land and see some Swedish Countryside.

There's an express train that takes only 20 minutes and has reduced fares for two, three or four travelling together, in which case it costs no more than the bus. Looks as if it runs late, Jeroen. See timetable here:

This is an email I received - doesn't say much, but here you go (translated from Swedish):

Along with Live Nation, we wish to Stockholm Globe Arenas to warmly welcome you to this legend the evening! Please note that the evening starts already at. 19:00 Amanda Jenssen and now it is also clear that the Norwegian rock heroes Bigbang goes up by Amanda before The Rolling Stones.

Be in good time! The stadium will be packed so be aware that there will be many people in circulation, and therefore may take a little longer than usual to get to and through the area.

The concert is an indoor production. The roof of Tele2 Arena will therefore be closed for the evening.

It is unfortunately not allowed to bring SLR or umbrella into the arena. Small compact camera or mobile camera is ok. Do you want to lock in something before you go in, you can use our power storage in the Globe at entrance 6 - open between. 16:00. 20kr - only cash.

Need cash during the evening? Take out beforehand, there are no ATMs in our arenas. However, you can pay by card in all of our restaurants, bars and kiosks.

in my case there is some confusion. we arrive from amsterdam at Arlanda and not skantsa.. is there a difference in busses going to the centre of Stockholm. we have to be at the Cromwell Hotel.

The plane is supposed to land at 23.50 on Monday

The same company, Flygbussarna, has a coach service from both airports to central Stockholm. It costs slightly more from Skavsta since it is located further away.
But from Arlanda I would recommend the Arlanda Express train, since it is the quickest and most comfortable alternative. Also, as has been pointed out by others in this thread, they have a Summer deal for two (or more) travelling together.

I hear many people from here are going to Stockholm, are there any plans for a pre-concert get-together, please let's organize one

I am flying over from Finland with my father who is on holiday here from England. He is 67, from the east end of London and despite being a fan has never seen the Stones!! He has though seen Keith and the xpensive winos at the Marquee club with me. He went to school with Keith Moon of the Who.
His fav song is Midnight Rambler so I told him this time I am taking him finally to see the Stones! It's never too late! We have lucky dip tickets.
