Hallo People,
I live in Berlin and have tried to get a ticket for the show at waldbuhne by creating an account at ticketmaster, logging in before 00:01 and trying again and again to go further. I failed. After I had to wait about ten minutes everything was gone. Finaly I decidet to buy a ticket for Dusseldorf and was able to get one but not for "Innenraum". I won´t be able to go because I don´t get days off from work at this time. I realized that many tickets went to comercial traders selling them for crazy prices. This is realy disapointing. So, if anybody of you has got a ticket for sale, please let me know. I cant pay something like they charge at ebay etc. But I can offer two or three beds to sleep in my apartment for people, selling a ticket to me. I live in the area"Friedrichshain", which is not realy close to the Waldbuehne but the public transport is working pretty well in Berlin.
I still don´t want to give up.

As you might know, Micha, the weather in Berlin is very uneven beginning of june. It could be 30`celsius like in 1982, but it can easily be 13`Celsiuus with wind and rain. When it`s shitty it happened that the sellers were lucky to get 50 € for their expensive tix.It can happen everythingwinking smiley. Good luck!

Finally getting my ticket soon. UPS tried to deliver it to my home 3 x, now I called them and it will be delivered to my office.

Ticketmaster.DE gave me an invalid tracking number, I had to guess the missing digit! First time lucky...

What are the regulations pertaining to Absinthe? Is it easy to find? I just want to try it.

According to wiki, in '91, Germany adopted the European Standards of 1988. Which re-legalized it.

How do you have it prepared? I remember seeing a movie, where Tim Roth poured his over suger cubes.

Anyone ever try one of Archer's Green Russians?

edit:
I guess Tim Roth was doing the French Method. Pouring water over the cubes.

Can anyone familiar with the venue field some questions about logistics, please and thank you?

What public transport routes go nearest the Waldebuhne?
And how near is "nearest" - how much of a walk is it?
Are there hills and/or stairs to navigate?
(Some of our party have mobility issues and in a GA situation it matters!)

This site gave me this information (translated by Google Chrome):

S-Bahn
line S5 With the drive to Pichelsberg S-Bahn station. From there it is a walk of about 10 minutes to the forest stage. subway With the lines of U2 you reach the metro station Olympiastadion. From there it is a walk of about 20 minutes to the forest stage. Bus Take bus M49 or 218 you get off Ragniter Avenue or to Scholzplatz. A detailed driving directions from your starting point you get when entering your data right in BVG box on this website.

Thanks Aquamarine, but I'm still hoping someone familiar with the venue (maybe preferably a Berlin local) can help.

Buses M49 or 218?

And how near is "nearest" - how much of a walk is it?
From Pichelsberg S-Bahn: 10 minutes' walk (for whom)?
From U2 Olympiastadion station: 20 minutes?
From buses: ???

Are there hills and/or stairs to navigate?
(Some of our party have mobility issues and in a GA situation it matters!)

How late do these forms of transport operate?

Got my tickets for Waldbuhne(from Eventim) today! I`m so happy! smiling smiley It took 24 hours from Germany to Oslo, and then six days from Oslo to Svolvaer, Lofoten in the north of Norway! Many thanks to Bjørnulf and all of you helpful people at this forum. I would not have had those tickets without you! See you in Berlin! grinning smiley

The Stue is by far out the best one of these 5.
If you are ok with the rate and the other ones are about the same price this would be my favorite

Any recommendations for restaurants near Waldbuhne?

Already did some searching on mytravelguide.com and others. I'd like to see if any iorrians had some ideas?

Nothing fast food, or sit-down dinner type places. I guess middle of the road joints, with the option of getting a table, eating at the bar, or outside.

For Berlin in general:
I'd like to try königsberger klopse, sauerbraten(can you still get horse?) and schnitzel Wiener. Which restaurants are known for these dishes?

Thanks guys and gals!!!

Maybe it's better to taste 'Wiener Schnitzel' in Vienna (= Wien), 'Sauerbraten' in Düsseldorf (Rhineland) and 'Königsberger Klopse' in Kaliningrad (formerly Königsberg) ..... winking smiley

Btw: These are standard dishes in Germany (except horse meat) and you get it in almost every mid-class restaurant, but of course it depends on the changes of the menu from day to day. A real specialty of Berlin is the 'Currywurst'.
