What a person chooses to do as far as work is a personal decision. Mick Jagger is responsible for the livelihoods of many good people that depend on him to hit the stage 100% of the time. He deserves our sympathies but we should not forget this is show business, on days like this we get a glimpse that's it's not such an easy job....

I don't know about other circumstances but I do remember the elder Mr. Jagger was in poor health, Mick knew it, and Mick even visited him at some point prior to his death.

This is such shocking news and while rock and roll and the Stones touring company are indeed a business I think Mick should have the space and room to grieve if that is what he wants. None of us have a right to judge his or anyone else's decisions during these horrible moments in life.

May god rest the soul of L'Wren and bring peace to all of her friends and family on this tragic day.

Well said. If Mick wants to take some time off to grieve or sort out his feelings, the rest of the band and the tour promoters will certainly allow him the space to that. How could he be expected to perform when he is not in the mood to entertain us? Mick is a trouper for sure, but he's only human.

Many Stones songs take on a dark new significance now. This one in particular. RIP L'Wren.

I see a red door and I want it painted black
No colors anymore I want them to turn black
I see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothes
I have to turn my head until my darkness goes

I see a line of cars and they're all painted black
With flowers and my love, both never to come back
I see people turn their heads and quickly look away
Like a newborn baby it just happens ev'ryday

I look inside myself and see my heart is black
I see my red door and it has been painted black
Maybe then I'll fade away and not have to face the facts
It's not easy facing up when your whole world is black

No more will my green sea go turn a deeper blue
I could not forsee this thing happening to you
If I look hard enough into the setting sun
My love will laugh with me before the morning comes

I see a red door and I want it painted black
No colors anymore I want them to turn black
I see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothes
I have to turn my head until my darkness goes

I wanna see it painted black, painted black
Black as night, black as coal
I wanna see the sun, blotted out from the sky
I wanna see it painted, painted, painted, painted black

Agreed. Feel terrible for Mick. This seems like a very loud and public FU to him at the worst possible time.

Always thought that Mick was the one with such a charmed life.... always healthy, all his children seemingly happy and healthy, his ex's getting on well with each other and and all their stepchildren.... Now this, the first real tragedy in his life I suspect.

Strange feeling when you feel a certain sadness for somebody you have never met, but there you go.

(And everybody seems to have misunderstood Cindy by the way, one of the more intelligent posters on here)

This is the next worse thing to losing family, friends,or in a lot of cases,( I don't mean this in an uncaring nature), family pets.

The Rolling Stones and their wives and girlfriends and staff that we get to know or hear about, are like an extended family that we like to hear about and chat about.

Mick and L'Wren were together for so many years, and it is such a tragic loss to everyone who knew her,or just read about her or saw the pics of her and Mick together.
She liked to take lots of pics that we would see on the net.

Condolences to Mick, her family and anyone who knew her and liked her as a nice person.

Terrible news. I think and hope we can all agree that whatever has happened between them throughout the years - none of us can even begin to comprehend how it must have been to be in the situation they've been in.

So I hope we can all pray or wish the best for everyone touched by this, and hope that Mick deals with this in a way that empowers him in the best way possible. And if that is to "let the the show go on", then huge repect for that. And if he needs time to heal and think, then huge respect for that too.

I do hope more light will be cast on this event eventually, but that is not important anytime soon in my opinion.

Love and best wishes Mick

celebrity deaths usually don't effect me emotionally since I don't know the person, but this really makes me sad for some reason.

Please give "will the tour go on?" questions a rest for a while.

This is a human being we're talking about, who had no reason to go out like that. L'Wren had absolutely everything going for her. Something beneath the surface going on here that none of us can pretend to know about at this point.

My experience of life tells me there are generally two types of people, people who are just straight, their words powered by love and those whose words are just powered by prescribed sentiment which is just the flip side of base aggression.

Hey, Cindy C, I think you know I have appreciated all of your comments.

On Mick, may he do what he thinks is best. I know he will, in this very sad
time.

WHO'S FIGHTING & WHAT FOR?

The straight talkers V the Smaltzy sentimentals .....although I don't know why.

I don't think you can disguised pure callousness with the term 'straight talker'.

Some people are without filter, and are desperately in need of one.

I've known a few people commit suicide including my own sister, there are always harsh unpalatable facts underpinning such events.
Personally I'll reserve judgement and my well wishes until I understand more......

Completely agree with that sentiment. Speculating about why, or will the tour go on is useless and petty.
