They've decided to do a "Let's torture fans who want MT on stage with songs that he's great on" show.

Now if the Stones could do a bunch of dates in places like N Korea and the like, the sets would be a big bag of surprise nightly.
Don't worry.Quote

Maybe they need to do a "Better Red than Dead mini-tour: NKorea, Viet Nam, Cuba, Laos...

It's a shame, isn't it? If the most interesting set list so far would just be the result of censorship instead of a band decision? And they are not even really rare songs. But people get excited (me too) like about a glass of water after a walk through the desert. That said, I think the desert can also be beautiful. But it's refreshing to see some unexpected green here and there, or a little oasis.

For me personally I wouldn't. But then I've seen them performed live several times. i could imagine the disappointment of not hearing them from a vast majority of the audience-and rightfully so. I'm of the group who would love to hear rarities-Winter, Summer Romance, Till the Next Goodbye--songs you'd never hear at a Stones show but enough of a realist to know that there are songs that Stones cannot omit. The addition of GOOMC and PIB as regulars since 50 and Counting is great. It's nice to see them acknowledging their '60s material. SFM should be a permanent part of the setlist-even in non-communist countries!
