So Keith's songs start at song no9 but in the USA last year he was on at song no12 - 3 less songs in the set now?

I was hoping that was just the case for the first show as they were warming up.
And you know they aren't going to leave 3 warhorses out, that's for sure.

I was wondering about that, but Paint It Black and Start Me Up have been moved to later in the running order, so it looks as if we will finish up about the same.

So 20 songs tonight, 1 more than last week, 2 less than the average USA show from last year.

Here's hoping as they hit their stride they add a couple more as the tour goes on..

So the stage is better !!!! Less high !!!

There is a slight slope on the catwalk but the main stage is just as high as in Abu Dhabi. See pictures on first page where you see in the distance security personell standing in front of the stage.

Yeah it looks like they fixed the problem by increasing the gaps...the easiest fix I suppose.

I still would like to hear reports and see more pics. It's slightly killing our front row ticket buzz for Adelaide. Promoters are full of BS.

Is there anything that fans will not bitch about. Setlist Stage Height Ticket prices. Here is the deal. They are going to play a standard set with one maybe 2 changes per show. Why you ask? Because they can do as they please. The other option is they can lay on the beach and count their money. I am suprised that the setlist is only 19-20 songs. About 3 short. I guess time is not on their side. Shorter the set the more mone for less work. Sounds like the American way to me. Just go see them probably for the last time and enjoy the show. When they are retired you will be begging to here Brown Sugar and all the other war horses.Guys and dolls the days are numbered.Nobody can do this forever and from the complaining why dod you even care. And i have seen them since 1969 and never complained after a show. Probably 300 plus of them. But hey I am a fan, know the guys and enjoy watching them play. And i do not have to pay to see them. I guess that makes a big difference.

BS = bullsh* t

Adelaide Promoter told us Abu Dhabi stage was so high as a once off, but looks as tho stage in Tokyo is same height. Meaning restricted view for high paying fans in the front rows. Some have said they can only see the tops of heads, and no view of Ronnie, Keef or Charlie at all due to catwalk height.

The gap looks the same than Abu Dhabi but the catwalk seems much less high... I might be wrong!!

How do they rehearse the choirs singing on You Can't Always Get What You Want? Do they ever have a dress rehearsal or just wing it on the night?

I just know that they have to dress in black and they have to pronounce "can't" with the brithish accent like in the original version. And then, the choir rehearse the afternoon on the stage. Like in Hyde Park and Abu Dhabi.

20 song set - Mick taylor plays on 3 = 15% of the setlist includes mick taylor

got to be honest, safe as @#$%&, great songs chosen & played but sheesh the novelty of mick taylor on just 3 tunes is such a missed opportunity!?!?!

if this is the last ever tour its a crying shame that theyre not making the best use of what they got, play what they want and how they want.

Great setlist for the first of three nights, but I still have to maintain that Slipping Away has no place in a Stones show anymore, because Keith's voice is so shot. What will be interesting however is to see what they come up with for the next two Tokyo shows, how much variation there'll be.

I think that attending 1 RS gig per tour + "attending" 10-14 RS gigs live update threads at IORR including all the usual emotional burst outs about setlists, Mick Taylor's part, Keith's intros and catwalks are the best blend of Rolling Stones live acts I wish for! smiling smiley
