My favorite Beatle. Too many examples of what I love about him. This is just one:

George was / is one of the all time greats. One of the greatest guitarists ever and a beautiful soul. AND a Beatle to boot ! So wish he was still with us.
All Things Must Pass is such an incredible album, but don't forget such great Beatle and solo tracks like "Long Long Long", 'For You Blue" , "Here Comes The Sun", "Any Road", 'You", "Handle With Care", and 'Everybodys Trying to be my Baby"---------

Had the great fortune to see George in concert two nights in a row back in 1974
in Boston & Providence and it was a dream come true. The press shit all over him at the time, but I remember it as an incredible show--

Love the guy

bob r that is fantastic you saw him twice in 74. I was too young at the time, 10 years old...
So tell more about the show?
It is talked about a bit in the Scorsese documentary, but not a lot and very little video exists of it as well.... I was listening to Live in Japan and I think he went the other extreme and the live versions were a bit slavish to the studio versions...
But the versions of Cheerdown, and Cloud Nine are superb. His slide work on Cheerdown is just fantastic...

Yeah, Chris, that is a classic. I remember staying up late excited to hear George and then he sang the Pirate Song...I was stunned and laughed my ass off.

George's Pyhtonesque humor on full display in the promo video for the 1976 Crackerbox Palace single with Neil Innes pushing George in a pram.

See if you can spot the Pete Townshend cameo.
