I was thinking about watching this show next so I am grateful for all of the positive feedback here.
While there many very good shows out there, among the newer ones entering their second season, both Americans and Vikings are well worth your time. My two cents.
great show for the first 7 episodes... but only a good finale, i though.
sounds like some here havent seen it all yet, so I wont get in to the details.
Anyone esle feelthat way? Maybe the first 7 episodes were just too good to match in the finale, but i thought the show got a little silly, followed by sappy in the end.
HalfNanker, I understand your opinion about the finale but I thought it was great personally. Without getting into it I think it tied up everything nicely. And Matthew M. and Woody H. really made a great team on this show. Some ways I'm happy it was short in other ways I wish it would have lasted longer. Overall, a really great story, loved it.
I am still processing the final after watching it twice. I thought it was a very strong ending, and did tie up a lot of stuff. I am looking forward to the 2nd season with a whole new mystery and set of actors. Good writing here!
Though I have not seen the show myself (I do not have access to HBO) I've heard/read enough about it to know it's certainly one of the better shows running (say over the last two years, etc.).
I hope portions eventually make it to youtube as I'm not subscribing to HBO for the sake of that one show.
But 'greatest show ever'? C'mon...that's what was said about Breaking Bad.
And there's other 'great' shows going right now (there's House of Cards, Game of Thrones, Walking Dead).
