For sure the plan of the announcements has been turned upside down by the tragic event. So probably we will have to wait a few more days.
If you look at Bjornulf's list you will see that now all shows have even a date, so almost for sure, these giogs will happen.

I am rather surprised they already announced Vienna, as I would have expected them to postpone the annoucement as well.

Regarding a tour of South America in August - it's winter there just like in Australia, simply because of this it is not going to happen, just like outdoor shows in the UK in December.

Guys stop dreaming, such things simply will not happen.

We can be very happy if we get the postponed shows in OCT and mybe a few South America dates on top in NOV. But don't expect any other things to happen this year

Considering how sparsely attended Stadio Olimpico was in July 2007 I very much doubt these tickets have gone to genuine attendees

Announced by the promoters not by the Stones [www.rollingstones.com] possibly happened is that the Austrian promoter said they had to go ahead with the sale on 25/03 at the latest (with a 5 day notice) for the show to happen...worst case they can cancel later.

Yes, but there are shows suppossed to be after and before Vienna that haven't been announced yet. It's so strange the reason a promoter announces one show (Vienna) and others promoters say nothing.

True, but a simple explanation would be that the contract for Vienna had been signed before Monday whereas the others were still being worked on...

There is a strong rumour about Stones gig in Poland. It would be for 25th anniversary of first democratic elections. Consider bands are : Stones and U2. U2 are no touring so maybe... .

RP Stones

Stones are dream wish of polish president. In this article it is said that his chamber is talking about possible show with Stones managment. The date would by 4th June.

So, I think we can't expect new announcements (promoters or Stones) in the next days, maybe for one or two weeks...

That's what it would look like yes...the only good news is that so far the tickets seem to be flying off the shelves so promoters might still be up to the challenge of the guarantee/"shorter time to sell tickets" even if Mick doesn't want to make any commitments in the next couple of weeks, maybe more...

So there will be only about 2 months from ticket sales to the shows ?

I think that this happens for first time.

Or June 4? Good rumor, either way. As Keith would say, "Good to be here, good to be anywhere east of Vienna."

If logistics work properly and the ticket selling is so fast, why not?
All we know the special and sad circumstances in this tour.

It was a lot shorter for the 2012 shows, only 6 week going from memory, announcement on October 15th (Monday?), FB presale on the Thursday, sale on the Friday, show on November 25th!

Again, so far everything's been sold out in a few hours so what's the rush ;-)

Isn't 4th June the probable Tel Aviv date?

It was about that in 2007 for some shows. In 1990 the tour was announced 22.3.90 and the first show was 18th May.

Prior to 1989 that wasnt uncommon. The 1982 tour was announced at the end of April, and the first shows were under a month later.

No internet or credit cards then. All applications by post!

I can't decide on Zurich or Tel Aviv. Those are the only two dates that work for me. Philly has a direct flight to each city too.

Tel Aviv, definitely. Historic on many levels, beautiful women, heavy drinking. Zurich isn't exactly rock 'n' roll.

Well... both are notorious for outrageously expensive hotels and McDonalds (the 2 basic needs for tourists). In Tel Aviv McDonalds, though, ketchop is free unlike Zurich so I guess Tel Aviv wins by narrow gap...grinning smiley
