I wasnt going to go to see The Rolling Stones in Macau as Iam a 1st time dad,my wife who is Chinese and as I live in Shenzhen said I should go and see The Rolling Stones in Macau.

she got me a 580hk ticket,This will be my 3rd time I have seen them.I cant wait.she will also book a hotel for me to stay the night in Macau.

this was her idea for me to go she said you may not get to see them again.

Did your wife use her own credit card for paying? I'm wondering about this, because of this info on the ticketing website for Macau: "Only the person named on the credit card used to make the booking is authorized to collect the tickets. The photo identification presented at the time of collection must match the name on the credit card." When purchasing the ticket they ask for all your info in your passport and also your address, and then they say that the only way to pick up the ticket is by presenting the credit card (and NOT your passport). Hmm... Is this the system in Australia? You really can't pick up your own ticket with your own passport?

Stones in Tokyo

The Stones are doing 3 shows at the Tokyo Dome. Boring. There are 3-4 open days in Tokyo and I just wonder if there has been any talk of adding a Budokan show or two ?

I guess one additional show at Tokyo Dome.
Operator doesn't want to move and setup their huge stage set.

Stones ever had some indoor arena-size show and only once Budokan show in Tokyo metropolitan area.
But it was always before Dome series or after Dome series.

According to Budokan official site, 1st and 2nd of March is vacant though...

Clapton plays at Budokan on 28 Feb.

They can still sell it as 14 on fire just because of the year 2014.

What about the Shanghai and Singapore shows?
Any reason for the delay in announcing them...or are they likely not to happen?

This won't happen. Glastonbury was a great marketing thing. Pinkpop (sorry to say, I love it, was there myself but) is just another festival. The Stones wouldn't play there for "a special price" like Glasto and so Pinkpop won't be able to pay them.

European tour 2014 ?

Anybody knows ?

Well, according to hints from bv, nobody knows yet, but that is to live with. It could be assumed that they will play 14 concerts in Europe, too. Question is, how many of those 14 concerts will be held in Scandinavia? Will we get 4 concerts in the capitals of Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland? Or will they say that concerts in only Copenhagen and Stockholm has to be enough this time? I guess we can only forget concerts anywhere else than Oslo when talking of Norway.

Just speculating...another 3 months off after Aus/NZ...maybe a select few (expensive) Arena gigs in Europe in the late summer/early Autumn...then 3 months off...then milk the States again...ad infinitum for as long as they get the offers and feel like doing it

It's reasonable to assume Europe will get "some" shows, and from what BV says - it seems likely it'll be during the European summer. After all, the States has had some 18 arena shows to date, UK has had 2 plus Glastonbury and Hyde Park twice, so assuming they're not planning on grinding to a halt completely after these current 14 .............. I'd put a fiver or a tenner on them doing "something or other" in Europe/Scandinavia later in the year. As for what & where & when ............... the pattern seems to be that they'll announce it a handful of months beforehand, two to three typically

[ I want to shout, but I can hardly speak ]

But I expect large venues...big crowds so they can keep prices "low" (in Stones terms)

Salaam Aleikum Ladies and Gentlemen,

Been 'ghosting' this forum for many years now and loved any minute of it!
Currently i am even more happy as i am currently living close to Abu Dhabi!

I try to understand how this 'pre-sale' works, but so far no luck and i can't find the answer anywhere on this forum.

Can anyone perhaps shine a light on this for me??

Tx!!

PS i contacted Ticketmaster.ae and the organizer but no-one know a thing :-(

I think during the FIFA World Cup (12th June - 13th July) will be no shows from The Rolling Stones. Or only shows on days, on which is no football!

I think you are wrong. On previous tours the did play during the Worldcup.
I can remember 1998 when it was in France and Mick Jagger flew between 2 gigs in Holland to France to see England play.

I once watched a football game on the big screen in Belgium (werchter).
I forgot the game and the year.
I think it was the BtB-tour.

If they do a arena tour in europe too, they may tour in fall as well, cause they don't have to care about weather then. Which would mean that the world cup will be already finished.

I wouldnt be surprised if a Euro tour in the summer will include some stadium shows. Especially as they're going to have stadium sized stage for upcoming shows in Tokyo, Adelaide and Auckland. I doubt they would go to the expense of having a stadium stage designed only to use it just three times.

They're very likely to play South American shows later in the year. Whether that trip will include a few selected dates in the US its a bit early to say, but I wouldnt expect a US 'tour' as such in 2014.

The stadium stage they used in Copacabana Rio, Buenos Aires and New Zealand 2006 was a budget low scaled version, very different from the rest of that tour. With the large distances on this tour, and the original 30 trucks needed for the "50 and counting stage", I will assume they have done some smart downsizing that is keeping the great parts of the show still saving some cargo, so that they can fly this stuff. You can not use boat or roads between these places...

This is the stage they used then:

I tried to understand the pre-sale for Abu Dhabi too. As far as I know there is a 48 hours pres-sale for the du-mobile cutomers only. Since I'm not a du-mobile cusomer I'm afraid I can't get tickets on the pre-sale.

Does anyone know how to get tickets for Abu Dhabi on the presale though?
