Tuesday is the ANNOUNCEMENT DAY... I don't know if it will be tomorrow or next Tuesday... but sure it will be a Tuesday !!!

I hope I'm wrong and personally I'm not very happy... I live near San Siro in Milan and I think it's the best venue in Italy for a 60.000 people concert.
Rome is beautiful and sure I will be there but in my opinion Ippodromo or Circo Massimo or Olympic Stadium in Rome are not the same thing.

a lot of big acts play the Rome venue (Ippodromo Capannelle): Radiohead in 2012, Springsteen and Green Day in 2013, Metallica and Arcade Fire this year...

They should do a gig in Helsinki because in 2007 the Helsinki gig was the worst gig in the whole ABB tour. Keith wasn't in the condition to play then.

They have to play in a lot of cities to make up for that tour. I only saw 2 ABB gigs (werchter & london): both aweful.

Rock in Roma is not really a festival. It's just the "title" for a lot of concerts in Rome in the summer. QOTSA, Arcade Fire, 30 Seconds to Mars, ... they are all headliners. Enough space for Stones. At least I think, this rumor could be true - why would they post "Ruby Tuesday" out of the blue.

But still, I'm in doubt that we will get dates tomorrow/today. I mean, like I said, the US-Tour and the Down-Under-Tour both had a lot of teasing on twitter and facebook before the actual announcement. I'd expect that for Europe, too. It's too quiet on their official accounts. But you'll never know.

I was in Rome on 2007 and the stadium was half empty. In italy, Milano is the place for the stones.

Seems like the tour will begin in the North and head South. With a few exeptions (like Werchter and Tel Aviv) that seems to be the tendency. Rome and Madrid are late in the tour (25.06. and 01.07 respectively). It therefore seems likely that the tour will start in Oslo, swing by Northern Germany (Hamburg, Berlin, Cologne) to have a few concerts down before the massive outdoor gig that is Pinkpop. Munich will be after Pinkpop, around Paris and Vienna. That they start in the North and head South also explains why they play arenas (indoors) in the Northern cities, and not stadiums. It is simply still too cold in early June.

Tour start Oslo. So, Patti and Keith can hook up with her Norwegian family. Mick can have his Norwegian trainer showing him the Sognsvann area. Charlie will go to Herr Nilsen for some jazz. And Ronnie will just jam with some locals. Hmm, a plan? Ok, that wine now, waiting for Tokyo. Stuck in Thailand.

Totally agree. I think they didn't make a sold out concert in Rome since more than 40 years... Remember also the half-disaster in 1990. 90% of Rolling Stones Italian fanbase live in north Italy. Anyway It will be one last shot and I think It won't be so difficult make a sold out show in Ippodromo with some additional European fan (Max 45.000 places).
