<Keith mimed the piano>
Isn't that interesting? He did that on LSTNT as well, a song we know he played/co-played piano on..
No.
Brian mimed the piano on LSTNT.

We sure have, but he plays it differently. There are some passages that are similar, though.

It was brought up via Mathijs point, which was a wrong one.
Anyway, we have footage of Brian playing Ruby Tuesday on piano.

Like they ever played things exactly the same. The other takes would probably feature many variations.

I think I've seen some things but they seem to be inconclusive and it doesn't sound much like the piano on the recording.

This is just the backing track with no Mick.

It's different, but much the same too.
Were it Jack you'd be using it as part proof he played piano on the track.

Yeah, but in his Rolling With The Stones it say's Brian played piano on it.
Also "I don't think..." is hardly a strong instance of remembering well.

Note that he didn't reply "No, Jack Nitzsche did.".
For sure if that footage showed Jack playing exactly the same, howled and a host of others would say it's conclusive proof that Jack played the piano on the record.

Well, if it was Brian so be it, I'm not trying to insert Jack just for the #$$% of it.

Brian at very least contributed the great recorder backing, and he and Keith apparently were involved in the recording session all the way through.
There's not much available on the actual writing of the song that you can count on as the truth. But I don't care, it's just a great song either way.

What do you mean? It is a song about Linda Keith.

Your point?
That it's about Linda Keith is what Keith maintains, but does not say more. And Jagger (somewhere) says he didn't have anything to do with the songwriting.
Beyond that, though (regarding the music, the melody, even the recording process) there's very little or nothing at all. We can't even get straight if it's Brian on piano, for God's sake.

Mick has said several times that it was Keith´s song.

He he, we´ll see
I start with Bockris:
"According to Victor Bockris, Richards came up with the basic track and the words and finished the song with Jones in the studio."

I'm suprised he didn't say "I did it!"

Hell, John Paul Jones might have played the piano. Wasn't he around during that time?
