I am always impressed when I see the younger generation sporting Stones stuff. Don't see that much around here anymore.

I don't think they are wearing it as a Stones homage.
The ones I have spoken to have totally known who the Rolling Stones are. And believe it or not, I have spoken to ones in their general age range who had no idea who the Stones were, but they were not wearing Rolling Stones apparel. So my conclusion is that the Stones have fans in age groups who may not seem too likely.
The thing that got me was I went to the Altamont speedway last year on Dec 6 and ran into a young gentleman who said he knew about them because his father used to play them all the time. He liked them enough to check out Altamont on the 50th anniversary, so that's something. But the funny thing was, he wondered to me why the Rolling Stones were considered such bad boys in the day, all he knew was the big production number tours of the past twenty or so years. And the Stones getting their faces into photos with everyone who is anyone on the planet. He couldn't understand their outlaw status when they seemed to hang out with all the corporate and society people. He had a good point in retrospect.
