They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder . So if you follow that logic that does not carry over to ones ears . Have you ever heard Yoko sing ? To further add that John Lennon was a huge talent and judge of talent and how he thought that she had talent behind the mic is beyond me .

God will get me for this, but I doubt John's priorities in hooking up with this gal had anything to do with her singing abilities. Just saying....

I dont think Lennon ever thought Yoko had traditional talent behind the mike but she was an avant garde artiste with connections deep in the NY art scene. And I think she was very talented, just did not fit within the pop band genre. But then Lennon is somewhat famous for saying Revolution #9 was the way he wanted the Beatles to proceed from there, so maybe he did picture her as an integral part of the band (despite protestation to the contrary from just about everyone else).

Like I said, she had the dope connections most likely.

Even though I was attempting to be funny above, I do agree with your assessment of John's interest in Yoko. And yes, although talented, she certainly didn't fit with the pop band genre (LOL)!

First time I heard that in regards to the junk and it makes total sense to me as well . Yoko was and is very connected to the NY scene for sure . Out of all the people though her ? The biggest mystery to me ?

I don't think you will get many arguments on that statement. But "awful" is highly context related. KISS were awful and so were a bunch of other "artists" but that did not stop them from selling millions and millions of records.
