Yeah her version of Something was pretty plastic. Her vocals just didn't rise to the occasion with her backing singers sounding better than her! The guitarist was great though, with a very nice solo.

Did Paul and Ringo do anything on Letterman last night? I fell asleep.

No. Lauryn Hill did a so so version of "Something".

Were they on the show at all? Did he just interview them or something?

He is interviewing them on the 2.5 hour special tonight on CBS.

Stevie is killing it. Otherwise, I kind of just can't wait for the end with Jeff Lynne, Dave Grohl, Dhani Harrison, etc.

Oh man, I love Jeff Lynne!!

Guess they're getting all the good stuff out of the way in the beginning. Eric Idle making me laugh thinking back to the Rutles.

Stevie was Good. Jeff and Dhani were Great. Now there's an idiot comedian who thinks he's a rock star.

Who was that guy doing In My Life? Man, that was awful. Nice version of Don't Let Me Down by Keith Urban and John Mayer, though.

<<an idiot comedian who thinks he's a rock star>>

Monty Python were treated like rock stars during their U.S. tours in their heyday, complete with women's undergarments being thrown onstage during performances.

Plus, George Harrison liked that idiot comedian along with the rest of his idiot cohorts enough to finance their Life of Brian movie.

I'll bet it wasn't women who were throwing them.

Revolution as a jaunty, acoustic, good-timey sing-a-long. Uhh .... no.

Lots of commercials advertising Ringo's concert at a venue near you this summer.

I'm surprisingly enjoying the show. They are definitely mixing in the bad with the good, and either its been 1 good, 1 bad, or 2 good then 1 bad, so not a bad ratio at all for this thing that could have been a trainwreck from go.

Yeah, it's been a pretty good show, actually. Katy Perry and that In My Life guy have been the only real stinkers. Wasn't too crazy about Annie (and I like her). Maybe it just wasn't the right song.

They were good, but agree it was a bad song choice I guess. Good to see them back, but I didn't think they warranted a standing ovation for that performance.

I thought Katy Perry was ok but not great. Maroon 5 I thought weren't great, neither were Imagine Dragons.

Imagine Dragons = imagine the ganja they had at the band meeting where they decided that was a good name!

John Lennon was not well served. Only five of his songs were performed and of those, only two were performed well.

And so it's Ringo himself who provides the evening's most excruciatingly awful moment. Never would have guessed that. (His first two songs were just fine, btw.)

I don't know how you couldn't smile during Ringo's portion.
