Mick's and Bono's hair implant's are the best I've seen, if I ever lost mine (and had there money) hopefully I'd have the same results.

Does anyone know why Elton's and Francis Rossi, hair implants have not been succesful then? I won't include Keef as I don't think he cares as much about being a slaphead as Elton or Francis.

Welcome to the breakfast table, Maverick.
Seems like your new, at least your user name is.

We have a cat here called OpenG. Whenever he posts (almost every time)
he get most of us really pissed off. That´s because he tend bo be
(a) In lack of manners, and...
(b) Very monotonus & single-minded, keeps on posting on the same subject over & over. Please dont walk in his sad traces.

If you take this piece of advice to your heart & will make some serious efforts to follow it to some extent, I´m sure you will be a well.-seen poster at this board (which, as everybody knows, is The Greatest Rock'n'Roll Board In The World...) smiling smiley

Why would what someone else post's get you annoyed, you just have to ignore them, it's only sad people in cyber world who have nothing else to do posting?

Anyway other people who have had hair implants include Cliff Richard, of course he is no relation to Keith. I believe Roger Daltry's hair is not entirly his own either.

Cliff's coool cause for years he was the Peter Pan of pop and now he's had Botox, hair transplants etc. etc....

Anyway, stick to yer guns Baboon

Daltreys hairstyle in the 80´s is something that can make me puke by the pure thought of it.

"it's only sad people in cyber world who have nothing else to do posting"(The Maverick, above). Right.

Ignoring has been tried towards our "Vibrato"-freind here at the board before (though maybe that was some weeks or months ago). But has not turned out to work that well. But I ´ll try that method, thanks for the idea. Maybe we forgot that method the latest weeks.

And what about Paul mcCartney, your not telling me that's all his own hair?

Re: Hair implants

Come on, it sure is.
Havent you ever seen a 60-65 y o wwith his own hair... ??
My old man is 60, hasnt a single grey straw, hasnt lost one.
And that man doesnt now what a hair-dye or such crap is.
My grandpa didnt lose hair till the very end, that was when he was 85.
My grandmas older brother died at 91 last year; he was a hair dresser´s
model (...How do you think my own hairlooks like at the age of 41... ?
Am I bald, is it grey... ? No.).

Implant is for @#$%&; only such as Sir Elton.

Some of the older posters here have seen me writing this, but I gladly share my own experiences to show that not all ageing men lose their hair.

I believe that Mick has his own hair, but its full of colour.

Now I broke my promise not to return to this thread. Well.

Both Mick and Keith have had implants... FACT

There's wrong with slapheads, as long as they show it gracefully, unlike a certain Mr John.

Well, I do believe that Elton now has successful hair implants - hence the stopping wearing caps all the time. You're right of course that for years he tried without success. Nowdays I think that anyone with the money can have a good job done though I'm certainly no expert in the field. Being wthout money I've never tried! But Keith's bonce looks OK to me!

Interesting that you say Mick had them successfully - I'd not heard that before. But certainly, I've always thought it amazing that the greats of our age like Jagger, Bowie, McCartney etc all have a good head of hair being nearly 60 or more!

Mick definitely had a penile implant sometime late 72. Compare his "bulge" at the Nicaraugan Benefit with L&G bulge.

Gotta love Keith, but let's
face it he looks like death worn
over, hair transplant/ face lift or not.
Even Jagger looks kinda macabre to me.
Too much fast living takes it's
toll, but they don't seem
to mind.

You´re absolutely right!

I wouldn't say Mick looks " macabre" at all! And if he had hair transplants, why wouldn't he do a mini face-lift like Steven Tyler just had!? Why not go the whole route? Mick has some deep facial grooves that a little lift would practically erase; it obviously is not something he's interested in, right? I would also love to hear the sourece of the hair transplant info.

Charlie looks the coolest...aging gracefully.

Keith looks like an experiment gone wrong. Still though, very cool!

Mick's hair looks like that of a 20 year old. Soemthing very strange about that.
Not as bad as Michael Jacksons facial re-inventions, but it still is kind of eery.

didn't work then eh....

Re: Hair implants

Now your being silly, Pete Townsend has not had hair implants.

As for Elton John, his hair is not implants, but syrups, he apparently has about 5 of each different hairstyle he likes, all of varying length to give the illusion of hair growing.

I think it was Mick Jagger who recommended to Bono the specialist whio did his implants.

Syrups? What is that?

Contrary to what people think, Sinead O'Connor has a trumendous bush but you don't get to see it.

Oh, Limbostone - my favourite topic - bushes!
You think Lisa has one too? Or is she "bald"?

nothing political, just a funny pic :-)

Maverick, what pictures are you looking at???? I look at pic of Keith from the late 80's then 94 then 97 then 99 then 2002 and now and I see a progressive receeding hairline. A normal receeding hairline. I do not see thinning then thick hair.

Look at his hair from the PC. It is receeding on the sides leaving him with a sort of reverse mohawk.

As for Mick...my Dad is 70 with thick hair and, as was pointed out, look at Micks Brother...full head of hair.

Re: Hair implants

Keiths hair was thicker on the 94/95 voodoo lounge tour than in 91,92,93 check out film footage etc, he may have had implants or a weave even for that tour only and decided to let it go gracefully after, but his barnet was definatly not all his own natural hair on the Voodoo Tour.

Maverick; you seem a tiny little bit obsessed with hair & hair-transplants.
Do you really have other interests except that besides downloading masters from the Stones unreleased albums...?

only problem with the mick implant theory is that he never showed any signs
of losing his hair ever, so i have to say its all his imho

Re: Hair implants

Of course. Its crap talk from the very start till its over (which will be soon I hope).

Re: Hair implants

Maverick, looking at my Steel Wheels poster right now right next to my Voodoo Lounge one...sorry...no real difference at all. From 94 to 97 there is a big difference as Keith went gray. From 97 to present day there is another big difference in that it is receeding.

Me thinks that Maverick is one bald dude.

Re: Hair implants
Posted by: The Maverick ()

If you look at the One hit to the Body video from 86 Keith is grey in that, so it wasn't post 95 when he went grey.

the reason you see a dramatic change of hair line post voodoo lounge is because that is when keith gave up with the hair implants and decided to become a slaphead gracefully.
