Interesting photo of Taylor playing a Rosewood fretboard Fender telecaster onstage at Marquee in 1970. He must have sat in with another band.

Did some digging and it's possible that 1970 might not be right, could be 1969 or 1970...However it's most likely to be Taylor sitting in with The Keef Hartley Band at The Marquee during 1969 or 1970.

His hair and clobber looks a bit more 1970 than 1969, so let's assume that the photographer is right with the year and I'd say it's probably from this gig on 4th February 1970.

The guitar appears to be Keef Hartley Band lead vocalist/guitarist Miller Andersons.

This ties in with Taylors association with Keef from Mayall days and his session with Keef Hartley Band as mentioned in Nico's site.

Great pic from Australia '73! Love how that tour differs a bit from '72 and Europe '73, style wise, with variations in clothes, haircuts, instruments, stage, sunlight, etc.

GREAT picture from the IORR video session.
What an odd bunch of instruments they had there -- Fender Bronco, non-reverse Gibson Firebird and a Fender Mustang bass.

Probably ones they didn't mind getting soapy wet from the impending bubble bath. Loaners maybe?
